In recent years, various theoretical perspectives have gained ground, and even if the transcendental system does not seem to contemplate an explicit articulation of de se thoughts, apparently a few features of transcendental apperception and I think do anticipate a few points in Perry and Recanati’s claims on the so-called implicit de se thoughts in the specific terms of Transcendentalism

The Oak Park Redevelopment Plan: Housing Policy Implications for a Community Undergoing Early Stage Gentrification

Abstract: With the reemerging discussion of gentrification in the urban landscape, an exploratory case study of the Oak Park Redevelopment Plan in Sacramento, CA, was conducted in order to better understand the community’s gentrifying characteristics and the implications once the redevelopment goals are met. In addition, a Conceptual Framework [CF] was formulated in order to unpack the components and processes of gentrification. The findings suggest that the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency’s redevelopment polices act as a catalyst for gentrification that exclusively favors the in-migration of middle- and upper-income residents into the area at the expense of lower-income residents. These implications include the displacement of low-income renter-residents, changes to a neighborhood’s socio-economic and cultural characteristics, and the defacto exclusion of low-income residents as they will never be able to afford to live in the gentrified Oak Park neighborhood

Asistente matemático. Herramienta necesaria en la enseñanza de la matemática

En este trabajo se propone el uso de un Asistente Matemático en la carrera de Ciencias Técnicas. Se persigue que el uso de este asistente matemático conlleve a un perfeccionamiento dentro del proceso docente‐educativo, que ponga al estudiante como centro del mismo, a través del uso de métodos y técnicas participativas, donde el alumno se sienta inmerso en este desarrollo (Castañeda, 1998). La introducción del asistente matemático como herramienta de trabajo en la Disciplina Matemática actuará como un nuevo elemento Didáctico Integrador en las carreras de Ciencias Técnicas. El uso del asistente matemático se ha ido incrementando paulatinamente y actualmente se hace una necesidad como un elemento más dentro del proceso Enseñanza – Aprendizaje. (Castañeda, 2001)

Consequences of firms'relational financing in the aftermath of the 1995 Mexican banking crisis

This paper shows that, in the aftermath of the 1995 banking crisis, relational financing was a two-edged sword for firms listed on the Mexican Securities Market. On the negative side, only bank-linked firms observed on average a dependence on cash stock to finance their investment projects. On the positive side, the banking connection was important to boost their profit rates during the 1997-2000 period, at least for financially healthy firms. These econometric results are derived from dynamic panel data models of investment and profit rates, which are estimated by the Generalized Method of Moments, where level and difference equations are combined into a system.relational financing, banking crisis, internal capital markets
