Tetrachromacy: the mysterious case of extra-ordinary color vision
Recent years have witnessed a growing public interest in human tetrachromacy – the possibility that a subpopulation of women enjoy an extra dimension of color vision. Yet, by contrast, rigorous studies of this unusual phenotype are sparse. The aim here is to offer the reader a guide to the facts and myths regarding this potential‘superpower’ and to address the core methodological issues that need to be considered when investigating it
O desenvolvimento deste artefacto audiovisual
The aging of the population has been increasing, which
translates into social and economic challenges. These
challenges include circumstances and consequences that
contribute to negative attitudes, such as prejudice,
stereotypes and discrimination against the elderly. For this
reason, it is essential to develop strategies to combat these
negative attitudes towards age, in order to create a positive
society through the deconstruction of them.
The means of combat will be the production of an
audiovisual artefact in digital animation to raise the
awareness of the younger ones regarding the prejudices that
the elders face in society. The development of this
audiovisual artefact is based on the collection and analysis
of short films, feature films, campaigns, manifests, among
other audiovisual artefacts for sensitization and social
intervention of the animation genre. This data collection aims
to analyze the aesthetic, technical and human attributes, as
well as how the elderly and the prejudice itself are portrayed
and to develop a critical and constructive reflection of the
results obtained and develop a critical and constructive
reflection of the results obtained.
The results allowed to obtain a set of guidelines for the
conceptualization and production of the digital animation
destined to the younger ones and within the proposed
theme
