The main objective of this paper is to present a systematic review of the VlseKriterijuska Optimizacija I Komoromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method in several application areas such as sustainability and renewable energy. This study reviewed a total of 176 papers, published in 2004 to 2015, from 83 high-ranking journals; most of which were related to Operational Research, Management Sciences, decision making, sustainability and renewable energy and were extracted from the “Web of Science and Scopus” databases. Papers were classified into 15 main application areas. Furthermore, papers were categorized based on the nationalities of authors, dates of publications, techniques and methods, type of studies, the names of the journals and studies purposes. The results of this study indicated that more papers on VIKOR technique were published in 2013 than in any other year. In addition, 13 papers were published about sustainability and renewable energy fields. Furthermore, VIKOR and fuzzy VIKOR methods, had the first rank in use. Additionally, the Journal of Expert Systems with Applications was the most significant journal in this study, with 27 publications on the topic. Finally, Taiwan had the first rank from 22 nationalities which used VIKOR technique

Supplier evaluation and selection in fuzzy environments: a review of MADM approaches

    Get PDF
In past years, the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) approaches have been extensively applied by researchers to the supplier evaluation and selection problem. Many of these studies were performed in an uncertain environment described by fuzzy sets. This study provides a review of applications of MADM approaches for evaluation and selection of suppliers in a fuzzy environment. To this aim, a total of 339 publications were examined, including papers in peer-reviewed journals and reputable conferences and also some book chapters over the period of 2001 to 2016. These publications were extracted from many online databases and classified in some categories and subcategories according to the MADM approaches, and then they were analysed based on the frequency of approaches, number of citations, year of publication, country of origin and publishing journals. The results of this study show that the AHP and TOPSIS methods are the most popular approaches. Moreover, China and Taiwan are the top countries in terms of number of publications and number of citations, respectively. The top three journals with highest number of publications were: Expert Systems with Applications, International Journal of Production Research and The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology

Ranking the Suppliers using a Combined SWARA-FVIKOR Approach

People are evaluating suppliers due to their responsibility which requires the need of a structured process for supplier evaluation. In this paper we used a new model for weighting of criterias and ranking the alternatives. This model is the combination of SWARA (Stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis) and FVIKOR (VlseKriter ijumskaOptimizacija I KompromisnoResenje) methods which evaluate the main criterias based on evaluation of factors that have major impacts on quality of suppliers, and selects the best suppliers according to the criterias. SWARA method is used in determining the weights of the criteria by decision makers and then rankings of the suppliers were determined by Fuzzy VIKOR method. The proposed method in this study is used for ranking the three suppliers of ABZARSAZI in Iran by five indexes that have major impacts on it. For this purpose, in this paper, designed questionnaires are sent to 20 professional experts in different departments of ABZARSAZI COMPANY in Iran for evaluating the criterias using SWARA. The result showed that Delivery is the most important criterias. Such, the results of FVIKOR technique showed that supplier 1 is the best supplier. This proposed approach gives an evaluation method for all of the companies in order to help managers to identify the best suppliers

A hybrid performance evaluation system for notebook computer ODM companies

[[abstract]]The aim of the paper is to fulfill this need by building a conceptual framework for measuring the business performance of notebook computer ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) companies carried out to investigate how performance is understood and to identify the potential dimensions to improvement. In the process, a multiple criteria procedure is used to assess the performance in these companies. We explore the performance-evaluation systems by using fuzzy AHP and VIKOR techniques. The evidence from the investigation showed that supply chain capability and manufacturing capability are the top two indicators for the notebook computer ODM companies’ performance. Furthermore, it was found that Quanta and Compal have the relative high business performance among these companies. The research provides evidence which establishes whether benchmarking provides a real and lasting benefit to notebook computer ODM companies. A series of managerial implications are set forth and discussed.[[journaltype]]國外[[incitationindex]]SSCI[[booktype]]紙本[[countrycodes]]NG

TYPE-2 FUZZY TOPSIS MODEL FOR GREEN THIRD PARTY LOGISTICS PROVIDER PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Green supplier selection, along with the environmental dimension in the supply chain, has attracted great interest both in the academic and institutional framework however, the supplier selection as well as the evaluation the performance of the current supplier affects the performance of the company and is important. In the real life, uncertainties in decision-making process are an integral part of this process. are things that exist in the nature of decision-making. Fuzzy set theory with the linguistic preferences was used to transform subjective decision-maker perceptions into a tangible net value. In this paper, it is proposed an interval type-2 fuzzy TOPSIS approach for green performance evaluation in GSCM. Then, It is applied in the performance evaluation of 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) providers to validate the presented model

Three Decades of Fuzzy AHP: A Bibliometric Analysis

[EN] For decades, Fuzzy Sets Theory (FST) has been consistently developed, and its use has spread across multiple disciplines. In this process of knowledge transfer, fuzzy applications have experienced great diffusion. Among them, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (fuzzy AHP) is one of the most widely used methodologies today. This study performs a systematic review following the PRISMA statement and addresses a bibliometric analysis of all articles published on fuzzy AHP in journals indexed in Web of Science, specifically in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and Social Science Citation Index (SSCI). The analyzed database includes 2086 articles published between 1994 and 2022. The results show the thematic clusters, the evolution of the academic conversation and the main collaboration networks. The main contribution of this article is to clarify the research agenda on fuzzy AHP. The results of the study allow academics to detect publication opportunities. In addition, the evidence found allows researchers and academics setting the field¿s agenda to advise the editors of high-impact journals on gaps and new research trends.Castello-Sirvent, F.; Meneses-Eraso, C.; Alonso-Gómez, J.; Peris-Ortiz, M. For businesses, carrying out their activities successfully is directly related to the suppliers’ efficiency as well as their own performances. Properly selected suppliers make a significant contribution to the competition capacity of enterprises. Therefore, selecting proper suppliers is regarded as a multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problem, which includes many qualitative and quantitative factors in the process. In this study, a supplier selection model has been developed in order to help executives with proper supplier selection. In this model, Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) method, which is an MCDM method, was used with positive trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The decision structure and the criteria used in decision support model have been determined based on the literature review. The result of the model demonstrated that all the suppliers evaluated in the study are suitable enough to work with, but the supplier B deserves the first place.
