Further Results on Active Magnetic Bearing Control with Input Saturation
We study the low-bias stabilization of active magnetic bearings (AMBs)
subject to voltage saturation based on a recently proposed model for the AMB
switching mode of operation. Using a forwarding-like approach, we construct a
stabilizing controller of arbitrarily small amplitude and a control-Lyapunov
function for the AMB dynamics. We illustrate our construction using a numerical
example.Comment: 9 pages, 2 figures. IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology,

LMI-Based Reset Unknown Input Observer for State Estimation of Linear Uncertain Systems
This paper proposes a novel kind of Unknown Input Observer (UIO) called Reset
Unknown Input Observer (R-UIO) for state estimation of linear systems in the
presence of disturbance using Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) techniques. In
R-UIO, the states of the observer are reset to the after-reset value based on
an appropriate reset law in order to decrease the norm and settling time
of estimation error. It is shown that the application of the reset theory to
the UIOs in the LTI framework can significantly improve the transient response
of the observer. Moreover, the devised approach can be applied to both SISO and
MIMO systems. Furthermore, the stability and convergence analysis of the
devised R-UIO is addressed. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed method is
demonstrated by simulation results

Stability of port-Hamiltonian systems with mixed time delays subject to input saturation
In this paper, we investigate the stability of port-Hamiltonian systems with mixed time-varying delays as well as input saturation. Three types of time delays, including state delay, input delay, and output delay, are all assumed to be bounded. By introducing the output feedback control law and utilizing serval Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals, we present three delay-dependent stability criteria in terms of the linear matrix inequality. Meanwhile, we use Wirtinger’s inequality, constraint conditions, and Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals of triple and quadruple integral form to obtain less conservative results. Some numerical examples demonstrate and support our results
