Geometric Cryptosystem
In this paper we propose a new class of cryptosystems that utilizes metric continuity. The geometric cryptosystem considered in this paper as the main example of metric cryptosystems has a number of interesting properties such as resistance to several basic cryptographic attacks, efficiency and detection of transmission errors
Proceedings of the Workshop on the lambda-Prolog Programming Language
The expressiveness of logic programs can be greatly increased over first-order Horn clauses through a stronger emphasis on logical connectives and by admitting various forms of higher-order quantification. The logic of hereditary Harrop formulas and the notion of uniform proof have been developed to provide a foundation for more expressive logic programming languages. The 位-Prolog language is actively being developed on top of these foundational considerations. The rich logical foundations of 位-Prolog provides it with declarative approaches to modular programming, hypothetical reasoning, higher-order programming, polymorphic typing, and meta-programming. These aspects of 位-Prolog have made it valuable as a higher-level language for the specification and implementation of programs in numerous areas, including natural language, automated reasoning, program transformation, and databases
Annual Report of the University, 1979-1980, Volumes 1-5
Athletics at the University of New Mexico sunk to the lowest of depths in 1979-80, but the turbulent year will also be remembered as the renaissance a rebirth\u27 for the department. Scandal of national magnitude struck the trumpeted Lobo basketball program from all angles. First the NCAA handed down several accusations, followed shortly by an FBI investigation into the altering of player transcripts. Head Coach Norm Ellenberger was terminated and his assistant Manny Goldstein resigned under pressure. Ellenberger is scheduled to go before federal court June 16 on charges of mail fraud, wire fraud and interstate racketeering. UNM attorney Peter Johnstone has compiled an 800-page response to the 92 violations handed down by the NCAA infractions committee and UNM officials are scheduled to meet with the committee in Chicago in July.\u2
