    Energy Efficient QoS Routing Protocol based on Genetic Algorithm in MANET

    Abstract- In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs), providing quality of service is more challenging than wired networks, because of multi hop communication, node connectivity and lack of central co-ordination. Mobile ad-hoc networks need sure distinctive characteristics which might cause difficulties providing QoS in such network. Coming up with of multi constrained QoS routing protocols remains troublesome. As a result of routing protocols must satisfy the numerous QoS metrics at a time. Genetic algorithm based routing protocol will give the solution for multi constrained QoS routing problem. In existing genetic algorithm based routing, achieving energy efficiency is the major drawback. To overcome this drawback, in this paper, we have proposed genetic algorithm based energy efficient QoS routing for MANET. Proposed GA based routing algorithm discovered the shortest path from source to destination, which can consumes less energy compare to existing algorithms. In this paper TCP,CBR and video sources are applied at a time then energy consumption of proposed algorithm is compared with existing normal GA based and AOMDV. Simulation results show that proposed algorithm consumes less energy towards given scenario. Simulations are performed in NS-2

    Enhanced Load Balanced Clustering Technique for VANET Using Location Aware Genetic Algorithm

    The vehicular Adhoc Network has unique charac-teristics of frequent topology changes, traffic rule-based node movement, and speculative travel pattern. It leads to stochastic unstable nature in forming clusters. The re-liable routing process and load balancing are essential to improve the network lifetime. Cluster formation is used to split the network topology into small structures. The reduced size network leads to accumulating the topology information quickly. Due to the absence of centralised management, there is a pitfall in network topology man-agement and optimal resource allocation, resulting in ineffective routing. Hence, it is necessary to develop an effective clustering algorithm for VANET. In this paper, the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Dynamic Programming (DP) are used in designing load-balanced clusters. The proposed Angular Zone Augmented Elitism-Based Im-migrants GA (AZEIGA) used elitism-based immigrants GA to deal with the population and DP to store the out-come of old environments. AZEIGA ensures clustering of load-balanced nodes, which prolongs the network lifetime. Experimental results show that AZEIGA works appreciably well in homogeneous resource class VANET. The simulation proves that AZEIGA gave better perfor-mance in packet delivery, network lifetime, average de-lay, routing, and clustering overhead

    The Mobile Adhoc network (MANET) uses the concept of dynamic topology in the wireless network. The major noteworthy issues in construction of MANET are the energy consumption by the nodes. According to the requirement of present situation a variety of energy efficient routing protocol has been suggested that helps in increasing the lifetime of the network. Emerging Trends in energy efficient routing protocols as the name suggest recognize that many approaches like clustered, genetic algorithm (GA) and so many has came in existence that helps in growing the network lifetime of energy efficient routing protocols. In this paper we proposed a novel Power Efficient Location Aware Routing (PELAR) protocol. In this protocol energy dependent nodes are growing the routing ability of AODV protocol on the source of LAR (Location Aided Routing) protocol. In network nodes are not aware about their energy status and also return flooding of routing packets is utilizes extra energy in network by that the bulk of the energy is exhausted in handshaking process. The main attempt of proposed PELAR protocol is to obtain improved the energy utilization in network. The performance of usual AODV, LAR and PELAR is show via simulation implemented on NS2 and observe that the proposed PELAR protocol decreases the energy utilization and improve the network lifetime that completely depend on the energy of mobile nodes.     Vehicular Ad hoc network(VANET) are special type of Mobile Adhoc Networks(MANET) where wireless equipped vehicles from a network are continuously travelling along the road. Node movement feature of Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) closely resembles with that of mobile ad hoc network (MANET) but its high speed mobility and unpredictable movement characteristics are the key contrasting feature from that of MANET. The similarity nature suggests that the prevailing routing protocol of MANET is very much applicable to VANET. However, on the same line, the dissimilarity characteristics result in frequent loss of connectivity. In VANET, topology changes rapidly and there is frequent disconnection which makes it difficult to design an efficient routing protocol for routing data among vehicles called vehicle to vehicle communication. Many routing protocols where implemented like AODV, AOMDV, SD-AOMDV, DSDV, CBDRP. SD-AOMDV adds the speed and direction as two mobility parameter. By enhancing the performance of SD- AOMDV routing protocol, packet delivery ratio, and throughput can be increased and end-to-end delay can be reduce

    The need for communication services is rapidly increasing, because the mobile communication service is synonymous with an ideal communication style realizing communication anytime, anywhere and with anyone. The availability of a path depends on the number of links and the reliability of each link forming the path. Many routing metrics in terms of number of links have been proposed, such as the shortest path routing. Shortest path routing selects a path having minimum cost to forward the data to the destination node. Shortest path routing algorithm selection depends on direct traffic form source to destination, maximizing the network performance and minimizing the cost. Performance of the network can be enhanced through shortest path routing but it also depends upon the functionality of the routing protocol and the parameters that are selected for the shortest path routing. The primary goal of such an adhoc network routing protocol is correct and efficient route establishment between a pair of nodes so that messages may be delivered in a timely manner. Route construction should be done with a minimum of cost, overhead and bandwidth consumption. Some of researchers explored the concept of shortest path routing over ad hoc network.     Evaluation of Classification Algorithms for Intrusion Detection in MANETs

    Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are wireless networks without fixed infrastructure based on the cooperation of independent mobile nodes. The proliferation of these networks and their use in critical scenarios (like battlefield communications or vehicular networks) require new security mechanisms and policies to guarantee the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the data transmitted. Intrusion Detection Systems used in wired networks are inappropriate in this kind of networks since different vulnerabilities may appear due to resource constraints of the participating nodes and the nature of the communication. This article presents a comparison of the effectiveness of six different classifiers to detect malicious activities in MANETs. Soa protocol needs to be energy efficient to avoid network failures. Thereby this paper brings an effective energy efficient to optimize LEAR and make it energy efficient. The energy-mindfulness element is added to the LEAR guiding convention in this work using the Binary Particle Swarm Optimization method (BPSO). The recommended method selects programmes taking into account course length in addition to the programme level of energy when predicting the future. To get good results, the steered challenge is first designed using LEAR. The next step is to choose a route that enhances the weighting capability of the study hours and programming power used.This MANET has been secured using the cryptographic method known as AES.According to experimental findings, the proposed hybrid version outperformed other cutting-edge models

They have been applied to many optimization problems in a high number of scientific areas. In this survey paper, we focus on the application of evolutionary algorithms to solve optimization problems related to a type of complex network likemobilemultihop ad hoc networks. Since its origin, mobile multihop ad hoc network has evolved causing new types of multihop networks to appear such as vehicular ad hoc networks and delay tolerant networks, leading to the solution of new issues and optimization problems. In this survey, we review the main work presented for each type of mobile multihop ad hoc network and we also present some innovative ideas and open challenges to guide further research in this topic
