Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis using Machine Learning and Deep Learning Approaches
Sentiment analysis (SA) is also known as opinion mining, it is the process of gathering and analyzing people's opinions about a particular service, good, or company on websites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and blogs, among other places. This article covers a thorough analysis of SA and its levels. This manuscript's main focus is on aspect-based SA, which helps manufacturing organizations make better decisions by examining consumers' viewpoints and opinions of their products. The many approaches and methods used in aspect-based sentiment analysis are covered in this review study (ABSA). The features associated with the aspects were manually drawn out in traditional methods, which made it a time-consuming and error-prone operation. Nevertheless, these restrictions may be overcome as artificial intelligence develops. Therefore, to increase the effectiveness of ABSA, researchers are increasingly using AI-based machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques. Additionally, certain recently released ABSA approaches based on ML and DL are examined, contrasted, and based on this research, gaps in both methodologies are discovered. At the conclusion of this study, the difficulties that current ABSA models encounter are also emphasized, along with suggestions that can be made to improve the efficacy and precision of ABSA systems
User Review Analysis for Requirement Elicitation: Thesis and the framework prototype's source code
Online reviews are an important channel for requirement elicitation. However, requirement engineers face challenges when analysing online user reviews, such as data volumes, technical supports, existing techniques, and legal barriers. Juan Wang proposes a framework solving user review analysis problems for the purpose of requirement elicitation that sets up a channel from downloading user reviews to structured analysis data. The main contributions of her work are: (1) the thesis proposed a framework to solve the user review analysis problem for requirement elicitation; (2) the prototype of this framework proves its feasibility; (3) the experiments prove the effectiveness and efficiency of this framework.
This resource here is the latest version of Juan Wang's PhD thesis "User Review Analysis for Requirement Elicitation" and all the source code of the prototype for the framework as the results of her thesis
Fuzzy-based machine learning for predicting narcissistic traits among Twitter users.
Doctoral Degree. University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg.Social media has provided a platform for people to share views and opinions they identify with or
which are significant to them. Similarly, social media enables individuals to express themselves
authentically and divulge their personal experiences in a variety of ways. This behaviour, in turn,
reflects the user’s personality. Social media has in recent times been used to perpetuate various
forms of crimes, and a narcissistic personality trait has been linked to violent criminal
activities. This negative side effect of social media calls for multiple ways to respond and
prevent damage instigated. Eysenck's theory on personality and crime postulated that various forms
of crime are caused by a mixture of environmental and neurological causes. This theory suggests
certain people are more likely to commit a crime, and personality is the principal factor in
criminal behaviour. Twitter is a widely used social media platform for sharing news, opinions,
feelings, and emotions
by users.
Given that narcissists have an inflated self-view and engage in a variety of strategies aimed at
bringing attention to themselves, features unique to Twitter are more appealing to narcissists than
those on sites such as Facebook. This study adopted design science research methodology to develop
a fuzzy-based machine learning predictive model to identify traces of narcissism from Twitter using
data obtained from the activities of a user. Performance evaluation of various classifiers was
conducted and an optimal classifier with 95% accuracy was obtained. The research found that the
size of the dataset and input variables have an influence on classifier accuracy. In addition, the
research developed an updated process model and recommended a research model
for narcissism classification
