To promote the adoption of PHR system, understanding the factors that affect patients’ adoption of PHR system is of necessity. Based on previous research, this paper tries to develop a model to explore those elements that influence the behavior intentions of patients from the perspective of consumers. It is assumed that individual features and environmental features affect individuals’ attitudes to PHR. Data from 265 participants’ response to questionnaire was collected. The SPSS and partial least squares (PLS) technique was adopted to examine the casual relationships this paper hypothesized. The results show that affordability and coercive pressure have the significant effect on individuals’ attitude towards PHR. Therefore, suggestion regarding what developers, institutions and government should do to improve the adoption rate of PHR was raised

Due to the cross-boundary characteristicof inter-organizational information systems (IOS), its usage is affected by inter-organizational relationships (IORs), which plays an even more important role in China. This paper develops a conceptual model of the influence of IORs on IOS usage and supply chain performance. Based on organizational learning theory, the paper dividespatterns of IOS usage into IOS use for exploitation and exploration. And the paper puts forward an innovative perspective to evaluatesupply chain performance from efficiency and flexibility dimensions. Using a sample of 151 Chinese companies, structural equation modeling (SEM) is applied to empirically testing thehypotheses. The finding indicates that inter-organizational trust has significant positive influence on IOS usage, while power and cooperative norms do not. And IOS usage plays a positive role in promoting supply chain performance and exploitative usage is better for the efficiency promotion. Therefore, much attention ought to be paid to nurtureinter-organizational trust rather than power to promote IOS usage and supply chain performance

Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that religiosity and consumer pressure have a role in the intention of MSMEs to register their products in the halal certification program. However, it was found that consumer pressure as an external factor has a more substantial role than religiosity as an internal factor. Based on the conclusions, this study recommends suggestions to encourage MSMEs in East Java to have high intentions in registering their products in halal certification. It is necessary to have an optimal role from various parties, including the government (for example, the Office of Cooperatives and MSMEs, the Office of Industry and Trade, and Local Government), Stakeholders, Banking, and communities or forums to provide training, mentoring and providing access to MSMEs mainly related to halal certification and increasing the capacity of product competitiveness

The Conceptual Perspective of the Moderating Role of Organizational Culture in the Information Technology Innovativeness and Adoption Decision

    Get PDF
Government Information Technology Innovativeness defined as notion of openness to new information technology ideas in the government as an aspect of an organizational culture. In adopting the information technology innovativeness, organizational culture plays a crucial role. Misunderstood organizational culture within information technology innovativeness may generate unrealistic or inaccurate outcomes. Unfortunately, the role of organizational culture is nearly ignored in information technology innovativeness literature. In response, using the Resources based view (RBV), contingency and Diffusion-Innovation-Theory (DIT), this paper argues on the interaction between the influence of organizational characteristics (management support, information technology readiness, government strategy) and organizational culture, so as to explain information technology innovativeness. This proposition could improve understanding the information technology innovativeness and help to resolve inconsistency of findings in the literature. Keywords: organizational characteristics; information technology innovativeness; Palestine; organizational culture

Drawing upon expanded innovation diffusion theory (IDT), this study investigates the social media users’ usage intention toward its innovative functions. 532 data were collected from the Chinese leading social media—WeChat. The results show that the relative advantage, ease of use, trialability, observability, subjective norm and image have positive effect on users’ usage intention. Whereas compatibility has no significant impact. Based upon these findings, we discussed the theoretical contributions and practical implication of this study

The purpose of this paper is to discuss major factors of two well-known theoretical frameworks namely Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and examine how those factors could influence the Organizational decision on Cloud technology adoption. The research underlining was carried out using quantitative research methodology based on a survey questionnaire distributed to IT professionals across Australia. The survey questionnaire was developed based on 12 hypotheses and 24 indicator variables. Around 200 responses were analysed by using two-tier approach (a) confirmatory factor analysis to confirm the reliability and validity of the latent variables, and (b) analysis of the structural model to confirm or reject the hypothesis. The final analysis of the results has revealed that only 8 hypotheses are significant and can be adopted. Furthermore, results have revealed that 4 hypotheses have a non-significant impact on the proposed framework and can be rejected from the framework

The Moderating Role of Organizational Culture in the Relationship between Power, Trust, and eSCMS Adoption Intention

    Get PDF
Building on multiple theoretical perspectives, we examined how organizational culture moderates the relationship between power, trust, and a firm’s eSCMS adoption intention. We tested the hypotheses using survey data collected from senior executives in China. Our findings reveal that a target firm’s perceived mediated power would negatively impact its trust toward a dominant firm, while its perceived non-mediated power would positively affect its trust. Meanwhile, trust can positively influence the target firm’s eSCMS adoption intention. Further, an internally focused culture weakens the negative effects of mediated power on trust. Meanwhile, an externally focused culture weakens the positive relationships between non-mediated power and trust, and between trust and eSCMS adoption intention. The externally focused culture could weaken the negative relationship between mediated power and trust either. The theoretical contributions and managerial implications of the study are discussed
