During the last twenty years, the growth of the internet and its ability to facilitate e-commerce transactions has had a profound impact on the way business is done by both corporations and individuals (Herhausen et al., 2015; Jeffus et al., 2017). The unprecedented growth of e-commerce has driven the creation of new payment systems to transfer funds electronically from person-to-person or person-to-business (Teoh et al., 2013; Sumanjeet, 2009). The intent of this research is to explore the factors surrounding e-payment use in specific geographical regions to provide a better understanding of that regions e-payment behaviors. This research centers on German millennials, how they value e-payment, and what factors influence their acceptance of electronic funds transfer technology. To reach this goal, a survey was conducted with German millennials exploring what behavior affects their usage of e-payment systems. The results of this survey can provide insights to understand attitudes and behaviors of young generations in their e-payment. The results of this exploratory study center on the descriptive statistics of the respondents

The use of e-payment by young urban Chinese has grown exponentially in recent years. The purpose of this study is to investigate factors affecting individual usage of e-payments in a government-controlled market economy. The proposed research model was based on the technology acceptance model and was tested using regression analysis based on 325 college students in China. Results suggest that perceived benefit, self-efficacy, perceived quality, age and gender are significant predictors of e-payment usage and the percent of respondentsā€™ personal monthly spend. The result provides practical implications for firms for promoting e-payment services in developed markets

This study aims to analyze and understand consumer behavior in using electronic wallets (e-wallets) including pay later derivative features during the Covid-19 pandemic. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used to measure the ā€œperceived usefulnessā€ and ā€œperceived ease of usingā€ e-wallet. In addition, perceived risk and user experience effect on the behavior of using digital wallets is also measured. The method used is an online survey to electronic wallet users through direct messages to followers of the official Instagram social media accounts of the top 5 electronic wallet companies in Indonesia. Mean score, multiple linear regression, and moderated regression analysis (MRA) were used to analyze and hypotheses testing. The results showed an increase in the use of e-wallet during the Covid-19 pandemic, but respondents still felt a high risk in using the pay later feature. The ā€˜perceived usefulnessā€, ā€œperceived ease of useā€, and user experience positively influences e-wallet reuse interest. The user's perceived risk becomes lower with more frequent use, this makes the interest in continuing to use high. Especially for the risk of using the pay later feature, respondents are still hesitant to use it so that it has a negative relationship with the behavior of using the pay later feature in digital wallets. Perceived risk acts as a quasi-moderator in the relationship between post-use evaluation and interest to use continuously

The tendency toward using commerce transactions through social media platforms among Saudi youth made deep investigation of this phenomenon a necessity for many social media users, retailors and decision makers. Understanding the variables that contribute in increasing social media usersā€™ intentions towards social commerce became crucial in this promising innovative market in Saudi context. Nevertheless, due to the lack of studies that clarify the mediating roles of trust, attitude, and satisfaction on the relationships between the Saudisā€™ social commerce intention and information support, emotional support, and perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived security, and perceived privacy; the Theory of Reasoned Action, Theory of Planned Behaviour and Technology Acceptance Model were used in the present study to develop a conceptual model with 25 hypotheses purposely to investigate these relationships. The study adopted a quantitative approach Data were collected through questionnaires from 538 students studying in five Saudi universities, SPSS version 23 was used in analysing the data and SEM-PLS technique was utilised to test the postulated hypotheses. Out of 25 hypotheses, the results showed that informational support, perceived ease of use and the perceived usefulness have insignificant impact or indirect relationship to trust, while emotional support, perceived security and privacy significantly impact the trust. In addition, trust has a significant effect on attitude and satisfaction. Satisfaction has a significant impact on attitude and social commerce intention and finally, attitude significantly influences social commerce intention. Consequently, the model proved a direct influence of emotional support, perceived security, and perceived privacy on trust which influence directly the satisfaction and attitude; both of these moderating variables have a positive impact on the social commerce intention. This study overture important insights to the social commerce retailers to build campaign strategies based on university studentsā€™ perceptions toward social commerce to maximize their intention and engagement in it
