Backstepping controller design for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems with Markovian switching

    Get PDF
A more general class of stochastic nonlinear systems with irreducible homogenous Markovian switching are considered in this paper. As preliminaries, the stability criteria and the existence theorem of strong solutions are first presented by using the inequality of mathematic expectation of a Lyapunov function. The state-feedback controller is designed by regarding Markovian switching as constant such that the closed-loop system has a unique solution, and the equilibrium is asymptotically stable in probability in the large. The output-feedback controller is designed based on a quadratic-plus-quartic-form Lyapunov function such that the closed-loop system has a unique solution with the equilibrium being asymptotically stable in probability in the large in the unbiased case and has a unique bounded-in-probability solution in the biased case

A Small-Gain Theorem with Applications to Input/Output Systems, Incremental Stability, Detectability, and Interconnections

A general ISS-type small-gain result is presented. It specializes to a small-gain theorem for ISS operators, and it also recovers the classical statement for ISS systems in state-space form. In addition, we highlight applications to incrementally stable systems, detectable systems, and to interconnections of stable systems.Comment: 16 pages, no figure

Output feedback control of nonlinear systems with uncertain ISS/iISS supply rates and noises

This paper considers the problem of global output feedback control for a class of nonlinear systems with inverse dynamics. The main contribution of paper is that: For the inverse dynamics with uncertain ISS/iISS supply rates, and the systems being disturbed by L2 noises, we construct a reduced-order observer-based output feedback controller, which drives the output of system to zero and maintain other closed-loop signals bounded. Finally, a simulation example shows the effectiveness of the control scheme

Disturbance Attenuation via Output Feedback for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems with Output and Input Depending Growth Rate

    Get PDF
The problem of output feedback disturbance attenuation is investigated for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems. The uncertainties of the considered systems are bounded by unmeasured states with growth rate function of output and input multiplying an unknown constant. Based on a dynamic gain observer, an adaptive output feedback controller is proposed such that the states of the closed-loop system are globally bounded, and the disturbance attenuation is achieved in the L2-gain sense. An example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design scheme
