KRRT: Knowledge Representation and Reasoning Tutor System
Knowledge Representation & Reasoning (KR&R) is a fundamental
topic in Artificial Intelligence. A basic KR language is Firstâ
Order Logic (FOL), the most representative logicâbased representation
language, which is part of almost any introductory AI course. In this
work we present KRRT (Knowledge Representation & Reasoning Tutor).
KRRT is a Webâbased system which main goal is to help the student to
learn FOL as a KR&R language.Ministerio de EducaciĂłn y Ciencia TIN2004â0388

ITS Teaching ASP Dot Net
Abstract: ASP dot net is one of the most widely used languages in web developing of its many advantages, so there are many lessons that explain its basics, so it should be an intelligent tutoring system that offers lessons and exercises for this language.why tutoring system? Simply because it is one-one teacher, adapts with all the individual differences of students, begins gradually with students from easier to harder level, save time for teacher and student, the student is not ashamed to make mistakes, and more.
Therefore, in this paper, we describe the design of an Intelligent Tutoring System for teaching ASP dot net to help students learn ASP dot net easily and smoothly. Tutor provides beginner level in ASP dot net. Finally, we evaluated our tutor and the results were excellent by students and teacher

CSS-Tutor: An Intelligent Tutoring System for CSS and HTML
In this paper we show how a student can learn the basics of the system databases using (W3school CSS) which was built as intelligent tutoring educational system by using the authoring tool called (ITSB). The learning material contains CSS and HTML. We divided the material in a group of lessons for novice learner which combines relational system and lessons in the process of learning. The student can learn using example of CSS, and types of CSS color. Furthermore, the intelligent tutoring system supports not only lessons; but exercises of different difficult levels for each lesson. When a student finish successfully the first difficulty level in a lesson, the student is allowed to move to the next difficulty level of the exercises of the lesson
The generation of e-learning exercise problems from subject ontologies
The teaching/ learning of cognitive skills, such as
problem-solving, is an important goal in most forms of
education. In well-structured subject areas certain
exercise problem types may be precisely described by
means of machine-processable knowledge structures
or ontologies. These ontologies can readily be used to
generate individual problem examples for the student,
where each problem consists of a question and its
solution. An example is given from the subject domain
of computer databases
Automated tutoring for a database skills training environment
Universities are increasingly offering courses online. Feedback, assessment, and guidance are important features of this online courseware. Together, in the absence of a human tutor, they aid the student in the learning process. We present a programming training environment for a database course. It aims to offer a substitute for classroom based learning by providing synchronous automated feedback to the student, along with guidance based on a personalized assessment. The automated tutoring system should promote procedural knowledge acquisition and skills training. An automated tutoring feature is an integral part of this tutoring system

Web-based writing support: making it useable for distance teachers
This paper considers the issues that distance teachers in higher education who are not writing specialists face in supporting their studentsâ academic writing development. We discuss the usefulness of open web-based writing support resources, and propose the need for a system that serves as an interface with these resources. Such a system should help teachers to make quick selections of materials that can be offered to students to address specific problems in the studentsâ assignments. We consider principles for the design of such a system, based on the experience of building and testing a small prototype for tutors on an Open University Masters in Education course
A model for providing emotion awareness and feedback using fuzzy logic in online learning
Monitoring usersâ emotive states and using that information for providing feedback and scaffolding is crucial. In the learning context, emotions can be used to increase studentsâ attention as well as to improve memory and reasoning. In this context, tutors should be prepared to create affective learning situations and encourage collaborative knowledge construction as well as identify those studentsâ feelings which hinder learning process. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to label affective behavior in educational discourse based on fuzzy logic, which enables a human or virtual tutor to capture studentsâ emotions, make students aware of their own emotions, assess these emotions and provide appropriate affective feedback. To that end, we propose a fuzzy classifier that provides a priori qualitative assessment and fuzzy qualifiers bound to the amounts such as few, regular and many assigned by an affective dictionary to every word. The advantage of the statistical approach is to reduce the classical pollution problem of training and analyzing the scenario using the same dataset. Our approach has been tested in a real online learning environment and proved to have a very positive influence on studentsâ learning performance.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft
