The article was submitted on 12.05.2014.Henry La Vie, marine commissioner and consul of France in Saint Petersburg in the 1710s-1720s, left an exceptional correspondence in Russia at the time of Peter the Great. He was involved in the establishment of diplomatic and economic relations between France and Russia, but, for no apparent reason, Versailles did not trust him. Many of his clever suggestions were not accepted by the Regent. Responsible for a small French community in Saint Petersburg, he studied the relationship between Catholicism and Orthodoxy, and condemned the harmful role of Jesuits. After the suspicious death of Alexei Petrovich, La Vie made a lot of speculations about the future of Russia and the change of international relations, particularly in the North. Versailles was not able to duly appreciate the letters of La Vie at their real value; his debts were an easy pretext to remove him from his important position. He disappeared in Russia and died probably in the late 1730s. His best letters from Russia should be selected and prepared for a publication.Анри Лави, служивший уполномоченным по морским делам и консулом Франции в Санкт-Петербурге в период между 1710-1720-ми гг., является автором значительного числа писем, датируемых эпохой Петра Великого. Migrationslyrik im Spannungsfeld zwischen Traum und Wirklichkeit

Migration ist in den letzten Jahren ein aktuelles Thema der Forschung geworden, das auch von der lyrischen Gattung bzw. in Liedern behandelt wird und viele populäre Sänger auf der Welt beschäftigt. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht Lieder, die die Migration thematisieren. Migration wird hier als globales Phänomen aufgefasst. Zwar wird der Begriff oft hauptsächlich auf afrikanische Migranten bezogen, aber in der Tat betrifft die Migration viele andere Nationen: Überall auf der Welt, wo Armut oder Krieg herrscht, erlebt man dieses Phänomen. Natürlich ist es in Afrika stärker ausgeprägt: Der Traum vieler junger Afrikaner ist es, ihr Land zu verlassen, um ihre Träume in Europa oder in Amerika zu verwirklichen. Dafür sind sie bereit, ihr Leben aufs Spiel zu setzen. Je strenger die Grenzen Europas bewacht werden, desto mutiger werden die „Migrationskandidaten“: Sie suchen alle Umwege, um das „Eldorado“ zu erreichen. Untersucht werden entsprechende Erfahrungen, die in zwei Liedern nacherzählt werden. Es handelt sich um die Lieder "Ouvrez les frontières" und "Un Africain à Paris" des aus der Côte d’Ivoire stammenden populären Sängers Tiken Jah Fakoli, den man als "Botschafter" der afrikanischen Jugend betrachtet. Dabei wird den Fragen der stilistischen Darstellungen und Komponenten dieser Lieder nachgegangen, wobei sowohl die Texte der Lieder als auch deren Videoclips in Betracht gezogen werden.Au cours des dernières années, le thème de la migration est devenu un sujet très actuel de la recherche, un sujet également présent dans le genre lyrique ou dans les chansons populaires. La présente contribution étudie des chansons qui thématisent la migration. La migration est considérée dans cette étude comme un phénomène global : bien qu’on pense principalement aux migrants africains, la migration concerne en réalité beaucoup d'autres nations, car partout dans le monde, où la pauvreté ou les guerres règnent, on vit ce phénomène. Cependant il se ressent plus fortement en Afrique: le rêve de beaucoup de jeunes Africains est de quitter leur pays pour se réaliser en Europe ou en Amérique. Ils sont prêts pour cela à mettre leur vie en jeu. Plus les frontières de l'Occident sont gardées strictement, plus les "candidats" à l’immigration deviennent audacieux. Ils cherchent tous les détours possibles pour atteindre "l’eldorado". Nous nous sommes intéressées dans la présente étude aux expériences racontée dans deux chansons. Il s'agit des chansons "Ouvrez les frontières " et " Un Africain à Paris " du chanteur populaire Ivoirien Tiken Jah Fakoli, l’ambassadeur de la jeunesse africaine. De même, la question des procédés stylistiques et des composantes de ces chansons sont à ne pas négliger. Pour ce faire, les textes des chansons ainsi que leurs clips sont l’objet de notre analyse

Automatic acquisition of LFG resources for German - as good as it gets

We present data-driven methods for the acquisition of LFG resources from two German treebanks. We discuss problems specific to semi-free word order languages as well as problems arising fromthe data structures determined by the design of the different treebanks. We compare two ways of encoding semi-free word order, as done in the two German treebanks, and argue that the design of the TiGer treebank is more adequate for the acquisition of LFG resources. Furthermore, we describe an architecture for LFG grammar acquisition for German, based on the two German treebanks, and compare our results with a hand-crafted German LFG grammar

FONTES 54 includes an extensive discussion of Hogarth and Rouquet and a full text version of the German translation of Rouquet’s explanatory descriptions of Hogarth’s prints (first published in French as a separate work, London 1746): "Briefe des Herrn Rouquet an einen seiner Freunde in Paris worinn er ihm die Küpferstiche des Herrn Hogarths erklärt". Lessing and Voß added these descriptions to the second German edition of Hogarth’s "Analysis of Beauty", deeming them useful for German readers as well as for French ones. The full text of a letter from Rouquet to Hogarth, dated 22 March 1753 is included. Also considered is Rouquet’s "L’État des arts en Angleterre" (Paris 1755; English translation: London 1755)
