    Knowledge management initiatives, innovation and GLC performance

    A model of knowledge management initiatives, innovation and performance evaluation was developed and tested on listed Malaysian Government-Linked companies (GLC). Data collected from 273 employees representing the three different levels of management were subjected to structural equation modeling analysis. The proposed model fits the data well. Results indicate that employees perceived knowledge management initiatives as important antecedents of innovation in the GLC, and innovation in return resulted in better organizational performance

    Package for Calculations and Simplifications of Expressions with Dirac Matrixes (MatrixExp)

    This paper describes a package for calculations of expressions with Dirac matrixes. Advantages to existing similar packages are described. MatrixExp package is intended for simplification of complex expressions involving γ\gamma-matrixes, providing such tools as automatic Feynman parameterization, integration in dd-dimensional space, sorting and grouping of results in a given order. Also, in comparison with existing similar package Tracer, presented package MatrixExp has more enhanced input possibility. User-available functions of MatrixExp package are described in detail. Also an example of calculation of Feynman diagram for process b→sγgb\to s\gamma g with application of functions of MatrixExp package is presented

    Internal Consistency Reliability Of Instruments Measuring Students Satisfaction As An Internal Customer (Application Of Factor Analysis)

    Reliability is consistency of the instrument in measurement whatever it measures. There are different methods available for estimating internal consistency reliability base on a single administration of a given assessment. Measures of internal consistency are a popular set of assessments with Cronbach’s alpha () being the most favored. Two other measures of internal consistency, such as theta (Θ) and omega (Ω). Each of three measures and its computation is described using instrument for measuring students’ satisfaction as internal customer. Students’ satisfaction is the level of a student’s felt state resulting from comparing a product’s perceived performance (outcome) in relations to the student’s expectation. The purpose of this study to answer which of the three measures a highest one? The research was survey research using simple random sampling methods. The instrument was based on the definition above and it was tried out to 103 Post Graduate students’ State University of Jakarta (Universitas Negeri Jakarta). Because alpha () is a lower bound reliability assessment so this research the following holds < Θ < Ω for this instrument. It can be concluded that the questionnaire measuring students’ satisfaction has appropriate internal consistency reliability. Further try out is still needed to standardize the instrument.     US and foreign alloy cross-reference database

    Marshall Space Flight Center and other NASA installations have a continuing requirement for materials data from other countries involved with the development of joint international Spacelab experiments and other hardware. This need includes collecting data for common alloys to ascertain composition, physical properties, specifications, and designations. This data is scattered throughout a large number of specification statements, standards, handbooks, and other technical literature which make a manual search both tedious and often limited in extent. In recognition of this problem, a computerized database of information on alloys was developed along with the software necessary to provide the desired functions to access this data. The intention was to produce an initial database covering aluminum alloys, along with the program to provide a user-interface to the data, and then later to extend and refine the database to include other nonferrous and ferrous alloys

    Stepwise multiple testing as formalized data snooping

    It is common in econometric applications that several hypothesis tests are carried out at the same time. The problem then becomes how to decide which hypotheses to reject, accounting for the multitude of tests. In this paper, we suggest a stepwise multiple testing procedure which asymptotically controls the familywise error rate at a desired level. Compared to related single-step methods, our procedure is more powerful in the sense that it often will reject more false hypotheses. In addition, we advocate the use of studentization when it is feasible. Unlike some stepwise methods, our method implicitly captures the joint dependence structure of the test statistics, which results in increased ability to detect alternative hypotheses. We prove our method asymptotically controls the familywise error rate under minimal assumptions. We present our methodology in the context of comparing several strategies to a common benchmark and deciding which strategies actually beat the benchmark. However, our ideas can easily be extended and/or modied to other contexts, such as making inference for the individual regression coecients in a multiple regression framework. Some simulation studies show the improvements of our methods over previous proposals.
