Socio-psychological features of adaptation of military and civilian persons after the war

Abstract

В статті висвітлено особливості адаптації військових та цивільних після війни. Охарактеризовано психологічні виклики, з якими стикаються люди та кроки, які допоможуть повернутися до повноцінного життя. Здійснено опис проявів та симптомів психологічної та соціальної адаптації. Зазначено, що адаптація після війни ускладнюється тим, що тригери зустрічаються в повсякденному житті постійно, не даючи нервовій системі можливості заспокоїтися. Наголошено, що адаптація після війни – це не повернення до колишнього життя, а створення нового, з урахуванням пережитого досвіду. Психологічна адаптація вимагає часу, терпіння до себе та готовності приймати допомогу. Травма змінює людину, але це не означає, що життя не може бути повноцінним та щасливим – просто воно стане іншим, наповненим новими смислами та цілямиThe article highlights the peculiarities of adaptation of military and civilian personnel after the war. The psychological challenges faced by people and steps that will help return to a full life are described. The manifestations and symptoms of psychological and social adaptation are described. It is noted that adaptation after the war is complicated by the fact that triggers occur constantly in everyday life, preventing the nervous system from calming down. It is emphasized that adaptation after war is not a return to the old life, but the creation of a new one, taking into account the experience. Psychological adaptation requires time, patience with oneself and willingness to accept help. Trauma changes a person, but this does not mean that life cannot be full and happy - it will simply become different, filled with new meanings and goals
