REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS SOBRE VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA AS MULHERES: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA NA ÁREA DA EDUCAÇÃO

Abstract

Abstract: Violence against women is deeply rooted in society and has been historically legitimized by cultural and social elements. This article aims to present an integrative review of what has been produced in Brazilian journals, through the Scielo platform, regarding social representations and their intersection with violence against women in the field of education. The concept from the Teoria das Representações Sociais (TRS) originates from social psychology and is broadly understood as socially shared knowledge. The selected articles highlight the need for educational and training strategies on this topic to be implemented in society, especially for professionals who assist women experiencing violence. However, most of the research described in the articles did not belong to the field of education but rather to the health sector, thus revealing a fertile ground for research to be explored in Brazil.A violência contra a mulher está enraizada na sociedade sendo legitimada historicamente por elementos culturais e sociais. O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar uma revisão integrativa acerca do que tem sido produzido em periódicos brasileiros, através da plataforma Scielo, sobre as representações sociais e sua intersecção com a violência contra às mulheres, na área da educação. O conceito da Teoria das Representações Sociais (TRS) provém da psicologia social e o compreendemos em síntese como um conhecimento socialmente partilhado. Os artigos selecionados apontam a necessidade de estratégias educativas e formativas sobre a temática a serem implementadas na sociedade, sobretudo a profissionais que atendem mulheres em situação de violência. No entanto, a maioria das pesquisas descritas nos artigos não pertenciam ao campo da educação e sim, à área da saúde,  percebendo-se assim um terreno fértil de pesquisa a ser explorado no Brasil.
