Subjectivity, objectivity, and truth in formal education. A philosophical and dialectical perspective.

Abstract

Este ensayo pretende comprender la relación de la verdad con las perspectivas subjetivas y objetivas en los contextos de educación formal. Para aclarar esta relación se desarrolló una discusión dialéctica entre los significados filosóficos sobre lo subjetivo, lo objetivo y la verdad. Se logró reconocer que la verdad en entornos educativos es inherente a ambas categorías; no obstante, estas serían representadas en términos parciales, donde la intersubjetividad es una de las principales representaciones de la objetividad. Tanto las técnicas subjetivas como las objetivas podrían ser confiables para verificar verdades pedagógicas, por lo que se exponen algunas ejemplificaciones para favorecer la comprensión de dicha idea. Se considera necesario repensar las interpretaciones en la cultura educativa que desconfían excesivamente de la subjetividad.This essay seeks to understand the relationship of truth to subjective and objective perspectives in formal educational contexts. To clarify this relationship, a dialectical discussion was developed between the philosophical meanings of subjective, objective and truth. It was recognized that truth in educational settings is inherent to both categories, however, these would be represented in partial terms, where intersubjectivity is one of the main representations of objectivity. Both subjective and objective techniques could be reliable to verify pedagogical truths, so some examples are presented to favor the understanding of this idea.
