L'intercompréhension en contexte universitaire: Traduction du Petit Chaperon Rouge de Charles Perrault dans différentes langues romanes

Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to show the two contradictory trends in the European plurilingual area: one that advocates European plurilingualism in the school environment and, at the same time, one that maintains a watertight education system in which the ideology of a single language prevails, thus excluding the diversity of languages. Can intercomprehension methodology be integrated into language teaching in the long term? This is what we propose to analyze in this chapter, first presenting intercomprehension as a means of achieving plurilingualism, then sharing a pedagogical experience via Charles Perrault's Little Red Riding Hood, translated into different Romance languages, with positive results. Finally, we will draw on the recommendations of advocates of intercomprehension in teacher training to enhance the plurality and understanding of languages in a university context
