Decarbonisation of Passenger Car Transport in the EU with a Focus on the Czech Republic

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na dekarbonizaci osobní automobilové dopravy v rámci politiky Evropské unie v boji proti změně klimatu se zaměřením na Českou republiku. Cílem práce je analyzovat ekologické dopady osobní automobilové dopravy, identifikovat klíčová unijní opatření a kriticky zhodnotit míru státní podpory ze strany České republiky. V první části práce je zkoumán ekologický dopad osobní automobilové dopravy v Evropě a je zde uveden přehled hlavních evropských klimaticko-politických opatření. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na implementaci těchto opatření v České republice a analyzuje připravenost státu na transformaci, identifikuje klíčové alternativní pohony vozidel a zhodnocuje vládní strategie a konkrétní podpůrná opatření, které mají přispět k přechodu na čisté osobní automobily. Součástí zhodnocení je porovnání s dalšími evropskými státy.This bachelor thesis focuses on the decarbonisation of passenger car transport in the context of the European Union's climate change policy with a focus on the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the environmental impacts of passenger car transport, identify key EU measures and critically assess the level of state support from the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis examines the environmental impact of passenger car transport in Europe and provides an overview of the main European climate policy measures. The second part of the thesis focuses on the implementation of these measures in the Czech Republic and analyses the state's readiness for the transition, identifies key alternative vehicle fuels and assesses government strategies and specific support measures to contribute to the transition to clean passenger cars.
