Increasing development and innovationin the Colombian Navy: the importanceof registration and protection of Intellectual Property: la importancia del registro y protección de la Propiedad Intelectual

Abstract

La importancia de la protección y registro de la Propiedad Intelectual se convierte en un patrimonio de las estructuras empresariales y del Ministerio de Defensa Nacional. A través de la investigación de enfoque cuantitativo se observa que al interior de la Armada de Colombia las limitaciones corresponden a la ausencia de procedimientos, desconocimiento de conceptos, divulgación de beneficios y a la falta de desarrollo e innovación; como evidencia, se cuenta con un número reducido de registros ante la Dirección Nacional de Derechos de Autor y la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. El objetivo del artículo es generar impacto en la Institución sobre la repercusión y provecho de la protección de activos tangibles e intangibles, asimismo, incentivar la cultura de la creación. Explorar la dinámica de las Fuerzas Militares se convierte en la hoja ruta para la implementación del procedimiento de solicitud de registro de la propiedad intelectual de la Armada de Colombia, aportando de manera significativa en la obtención de la protección de productos que contribuyen al cumplimiento del objetivo de ser una institución reconocida como actor de ciencia y tecnología ante el Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología, las Instituciones de Educación Superior y una Marina de Guerra   competitiva en la regiónThe importance of the protection and registration of Intellectual Property becomes a patrimony of the business structures and of the Ministry of National Defense. Through the quantitative approach research, it is observed that within the Colombian Navy the limitations correspond to the absence of procedures, lack of knowledge of concepts, disclosure of benefits and lack of development and innovation; as evidence, there is a reduced number of registrations before theNational Directorate of Copyrights and the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce. The objective of the article is to generate impact in the Institution on the repercussion and benefits of the protection of tangible and intangible assets, as well as to encourage the culture of creation.Exploring the dynamics of the Military Forces becomes the road map for the implementation of the applicationprocedure for the registration of intellectual property of the Colombian Navy, contributing significantly in obtaining the protection of products that contribute to the fulfillment of the objective of being an institution recognized as an actor of science and technology before the Ministry of Science and Technology, Higher Education Institutions and a competitive Navy in the region
