Methodology of the three pedagogical moments as a means for teaching Environmental Education

Abstract

O processo de ensino-aprendizagem, especialmente na Educação Ambiental, exige metodologias que conectem teoria e prática. Este estudo avaliou a eficácia da metodologia dos Três Momentos Pedagógicos (3MP) no ensino de Educação Ambiental para alunos do segundo e quarto anos dos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, em uma escola na cidade de Alcântara, Maranhão. As atividades foram estruturadas em palestras, oficinas temáticas e complementadas por entrevistas e questionários semiestruturados aplicados a docentes e discentes. Os resultados apontam que a dialogicidade promovida pela metodologia dos 3MP fortaleceu o processo de ensino-aprendizagem, facilitando a compreensão e a reflexão sobre questões ambientais.The teaching-learning process, especially in Environmental Education, requires methodologies that connect theory and practice. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the Three Pedagogical Moments (3MP) methodology in teaching Environmental Education to students in the second and fourth-grade students of the Early Years of Elementary School, in a school in the city of Alcântara, Maranhão. The activities were structured in lectures, thematic workshops and complemented by interviews and semi-structured questionnaires applied to teachers and students. The results indicate that the dialogicity promoted by the 3MP methodology strengthened the teaching-learning process, facilitating the understanding and reflection on environmental issues
