Incidencia del síndrome de burnout sobre el desempeño docente en educación superior

Abstract

The study in Venezuelan higher education teachers sought to determine the incidence of Burnout Syndrome. A qualitative-quantitative method was employed with 150 teachers, using the Maslach Burnout Inventory Test to measure emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal fulfillment. The results showed high levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, although most had high personal fulfillment in their work. This highlights the need to address the emotional problems of educators to improve their well-being and educational quality in Venezuela, suggesting interventions and psychosocial support to mitigate the effects of the syndrome in the educational community.El estudio en docentes venezolanos de educación superior buscó determinar la incidencia del Síndrome de Burnout.
