Status prawdziwościowy narracji – perspektywa socjologii (religii), realizmu krytycznego i fenomenologii

Abstract

The subject of the research presented in this article is the narrative as a sociological category, and the aim of this work is to provide a theoretical reflection on the possibility of approaching narratives in a way different from the deontologizing postmodern perspective, which would allow for assessing the truth status of narratives present in social life. As a method, it is proposed to consider narratives in the light of critical realism. Though this theory provides justification and criteria for testing references to reality, there is also a conclusion related to the attitude of the researcher who should avoid a destructive approach to historically produced, cultural and sense-creating narratives and in these situations rather choose a phenomenological perspective.Przedmiotem badania prezentowanego w artykule jest narracja jako kategoria socjologiczna, zaś celem teoretyczna refleksja nad możliwością ujęcia jej w sposób inny niż w deontologizującej perspektywie postmodernistycznej, który pozwoliłby oceniać status prawdziwościowy narracji obecnych w życiu społecznym. Jako metodę proponuje się rozpatrywanie narracji w świetle realizmu krytycznego. Choć teoria ta dostarcza uzasadnienia i kryteriów sprawdzianu referencji do rzeczywistości, pojawia się też wniosek związany z postawą badacza, który powinien unikać destruującego podejścia do historycznie wytworzonych, kulturowych i sensotwórczych narracji i w tych sytuacjach raczej wybierać perspektywę fenomenologiczną
