Formation of Mathematical Competence of Students of Teaching Universities in the Conditions of Informal Education

Abstract

Математична компетентність студентів педагогічних закладів є важливою складовою їх професійної підготовки, яка проявляється у вміннях застосовувати отримані математичні знання та уміння для розв’язування різноманітних завдань. Основною перешкодою на шляху формування даної компетентності і здобуття освіти загалом вбачаємо нестабільну ситуацію в країні внаслідок повномасштабного вторгнення російської федерації на територію України. Педагогічна спільнота вже давно звернула увагу на такий спосіб здобуття знань та формування умінь як неформальна освіта. Вона передбачає, що студенти навчаються в межах якісно підготовлених професійними фахівцями світових закладів освіти навчальних курсів, які розташовані на онлайнових платформах. Тому існує потреба аналізу таких платформ і пошуку відповідних навчальних курсів, які дадуть змогу студентові отримати якісну освіту та удосконалити відповідні компетентності. У роботі уточнено поняття «математичної компетентності» та визначено її структуру. Проаналізовано компоненти математичної компетентності та визначено можливості неформальної освіти щодо реалізації кожного з компонентів. Шляхом аналізу нормативних документів виявлено основну ідею неформальної освіти, що вказує на оновлення та поглиблення компетентностей майбутнього фахівця протягом всього періоду здобуття формальної (традиційної) освіти, а в подальшому і протягом всього життя. Порівняльний аналіз різних платформ здобуття неформальної освіти виявив значний потенціал для формування математичної компетентності студентів педагогічних університетів. Зокрема, здійснено аналіз навчальних курсів для неформальної освіти з дисципліни «Лінійна алгебра», які можна використовувати для поглиблення та удосконалення математичної компетентності студентів.The mathematical competence of students of pedagogical institutions is an important component of their professional training, manifested in the ability to apply acquired mathematical knowledge and skills to solve various problems. We have investigated that the main obstacle to the formation of this competence and the acquisition of education, in general, is the unstable and threatening situation in the country due to the full-scale invasion of the russian federation on the territory of Ukraine. The pedagogical community has long drawn attention to this way of acquiring knowledge and forming skills as informal education. This type of education assumes that students study within the framework of educational courses, which are qualitatively made by specialists from educational institutions of the world, and are located on online platforms. Therefore, there is a need to analyze such platforms and find appropriate training courses that will enable the student to receive a quality education and improve the relevant competencies. We considered the concept of "mathematical competence" and defined its structure. The components of mathematical competence were analyzed and the possibilities of informal education regarding the implementation of each of the components were determined. With the help of the analysis of regulatory documents, we discovered the main idea of non-formal education. It indicates the renewal and deepening of the competencies of the future specialist during the entire period of obtaining formal (traditional) education, and in the future and throughout life. A comparative analysis of various platforms for obtaining non-formal education revealed significant potential for the formation of mathematical competence of students of pedagogical universities.
