Na Mata tem esperança : meetings with cavalo maribho dancers body

Abstract

Nesta dissertação abordo, de modo critico e reflexivo, as experiências geradas a partir de encontros com a brincadeira do cavalo marinho - manifestação popular tradicional da Zona da Mata Norte de Pernambuco. O objetivo da investigação foi a apropriação de elementos da brincadeira para utilização em procedimentos de formação e treinamento de atores-dançarinos. Assim, a presente análise inclui processos de treinamento do Grupo Peleja, do qual faço parte como ator-dançarino. Esse treinamento resulta da intersecção de corporeidades do cavalo marinho com a metodologia do grupo Lume (Núcleo Interdisciplinar de Pesquisas Teatrais da Unicamp). A partir de experiências práticas envolvendo trabalhos corporais e vivências em campo, aproveito para discutir as noções de jogo, brincadeira, treinamento, cultura popular e tradição. Durante a pesquisa, manteve-se um fluxo intenso de trocas envolvendo o pesquisador, os brincadores e o denso contexto social onde a brincadeira encontra-se enraizada. Da investigação, além do presente texto, resultaram dois produtos: um conjunto de práticas e jogos envolvendo elementos do cavalo marinho, organizado em um DVD, e o vídeo Na Mata tem, obra artística que situa subjetivamente o brinquedo e os sambadores que o tornam possívelIn this dissertation, the experiences generated from encounters with the cavalo marinho play - a popular Brazilian folk tradition of the Northern Mata Zone of Pernambuco State - are approached both critically and reflexively. The aim of this research was the appropriation of elements of this game to be used in professional training procedures of actor-dancers. Thus, this analysis includes training procedures of the Peleja Group, which I take part in as an actor-dancer. This training is the outcome of the intersection of the corporality of cavalo marinho with the methodology used by the Lume group (Interdisciplinary Center for Theatrical Research - UNICAMP). Based on practical experiences involving body work and field experiences, I take this opportunity to discuss the concepts of game, play, training, traditional culture and tradition. During the research, I kept a strong flow of exchanges with the players and the dense social context which the game is deep-rooted. Besides the present text, this investigation resulted in two products: a set of practices and games involving elements of cavalo marinho (organized on a DVD) and a video named Na Mata tem, an artistic work that subjectively locates the play and the players who make it possibl
