Interview with Derek Little, 13 May 2010

Abstract

Derek Little was born in 1935 and went to a primary school in Nottingham and then to secondary school in Nottingham. He did not remember very much about being taught history and has been much more interested in it in later life, partly inspired by his wife, Ceril Little (also interviewed). The main thing he remembered about history at school was going to see the film of Henry V with Laurence Olivier. At the O level stage he gave up history and did French. He remembered history as being taught in a rather uninspiring way at school. Interviewed by Jenny Keating
