Theoretical paradigms of creativity are analyzed with an overview of the changes observed from the first creative research in 1950 among both Lithuanian and international researchers. Conclusions and recommendations are intended to guide future researchers towards suitable areas for creativity and creativity development research, with a special focus on reliable and legal research methodologies for both cognitive and personality research. Additionally, this material provides guidance and ideas for educators and practitioners in educational institutions, who are responsible for education policy in Lithuania.
