Abstract

Poduzetnika se ne može opisati jednom riječju, čak ni definicijom. Kroz povijest razni autori su definirali poduzetnika i poduzetništvo različitim definicijama, ali postoje osobine koje su zajedničke većini poduzetnika. To su uporan rad, kreativnost, preuzimanje rizika, oni su inovatori i pozitivno djeluju na zajednicu. Poduzetništvo je u stalnom porastu i doprinosi ekonomskom razvoju društva u kojem djeluje. To je proces stvaranja nove vrijednosti kombinacijom i iskorištavanjem različitih resursa. U ovom radu napravljena je analiza stanja poduzetništva u Hrvatskoj. U tu svrhu prikazan je pregled poreza i ostalih obaveza poduzetnika te institucionalni okvir za podršku poduzetnicima i sektoru malog gospodarstva. Objašnjene su strategije institucija i načini potpore poduzetnicima. Također je dan pregled stanja malih i srednjih poduzeća u Hrvatskoj. Neizostavno kod poduzetništva je obrazovanje za poduzetništvo na koje se danas sve više stavlja naglasak. Hrvatska je jedna od rijetkih zemalja koja ima definiranu strategiju razvoja poduzetništva žena. Kao primjer rada institucije za podršku poduzetnicima izabrana je Zagorska razvojna agencija kao trenutno jedina takva institucije na području Krapinsko zagorske županije. U zaključnom dijelu rada obrazložen je stav o poduzetništvu uzimanjem u obzir svih negativnih strana, te nasuprot toga svega što poduzetnicima olakšava rad i omogućuje da i dalje sudjeluju u gospodarstvu zemlje svojim poduzetničkim pothvatom.An entrepreneur is not someone we can describe using a single word, and it is not even a single definition that would be sufficient enough. In the course of history, different authors have attempted to do so within the definitions of an entrepreneur and entrepreneurship, though there are traits which are common to most entrepreneurs. These traits are the following: hard work, creativity, assuming the risk, and the fact that they are innovators and make a positive impact on the community. Entrepreneurship has been constantly on the rise, and it contributes to the economic development of the society in which it operates. It participates in the process of creating extra value through a combination and exploitation of different resources. In this research paper an analysis of the current state of entrepreneurship in Croatia has been performed. For this purpose, an overview of taxes and other liabilities of the entrepreneurs has been provided, as well as the institutional frame for the support to entrepreneurs and the small enterprise sector. The strategies of the institutions have been elaborated, as well as the ways of providing support to entrepreneurs. An overview of the current state of the small and medium enterprises in Croatia has been provided, as well. An essential element related to entrepreneurship which is increasingly been emphasized is certainly education and training in the field. Croatia is one of the few countries having a defined strategy of the female entrepreneurship development. Zagorska razvojna agencija Ltd. (Zagorje Development Agency) has been taken as an example of the work of the institution providing support to entrepreneurs which is currently the only institution of this kind in the Krapina-Zagorje County. The final section of the research paper contains the general position on entrepreneurship, taking into consideration all the cons, as well as all the pros facilitating their work and enabling them to participate in the economic development of the country through their entrepreneurial ventures
