Дисненский замок

Abstract

DISNA CASTLE R. PLATONOVПредставлен анализ истории возникновения одного из самых маленьких городов Беларуси – Дисны. Город, имеющий деревянный укрепленный замок, расположен недалеко от древнего Полоцка, долгое время служил его форпостом. Однако, наиболее значимым оборонительным сооружением замок стал благодаря великому князю литовскому и королю польскому Жигимонту Августу. Установлено, что на месте древнего замка в настоящее время остались только земляные валы и вымощенное камнем небольшое озеро. Считаем необходимым проведение серьезных археологических раскопок и установление памятного знака в честь былого сооружения.=The article presents an analysis of the history of one of the smallest cities in Belarus - Disna. The city, which has a wooden fortified castle, is located near the ancient Polotsk, has long served as its Outpost. However, the most significant defensive structure of the castle was due to the Grand Duke of Lithuania and the king of Poland Zhigimont Augustus. It is established that on the site of the ancient castle there are now only earthen ramparts and a small lake paved with stone. We consider it necessary to conduct serious archaeological excavations and establish a memorial sign in honor of the former building
