Touhon tarina : näyttöön perustuvan kuntoutusmallin kehittäminen nuorisokoti Mainingissa

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on kuvata näyttöön perustuvan kuntoutusmallin kehittämisprosessi. Pyrkimyksenä on siirtää makrotason yhteiskunnallinen tehtävä mikrotason laitosnuoren arkeen. Näyttöön perustuva toiminta tarkoittaa tutkimustiedon, asiakkaan ja asiantuntijan tiedon sekä strategisen tiedon hyödyntämistä. Kehittämistyön tärkeimpänä tavoitteena on nostaa kuuluviin laitosnuoren ääni. Tätä selvitystä tehtäessä on tarkoitus selvittää, keitä me sijaishuoltoa antavana yksikkönä olemme ja mikä meidän työmme tarkoitus on? Toisena tehtävänä on erottautuminen nykyisessä ja tulevassa lastensuojelukentässä hyvämaineisen työn korostamiseksi. Sen avulla pyritään osoittamaan, kuinka Ankkurin Lastensuojelupalvelut Oy:ssä tehdään laadukasta lastensuojelutyötä. Teoriaosuudessa käydään laajaa keskustelua eri kuntoutuksen tasoilta katsottuna, hallituksen kärkihankkeesta sijaishuollon haastavaan tehtävään ja aina laitosnuoreen asti. Syrjäytymisvaaraa pienentämässä haluttiin nähdä elämänhallintaa lisääviä ja voimaannuttavia keinoja muun muassa sosiaalisen kuntoutuksen kautta. Kehittämisessä hyödynnettiin toimintatutkimuksen strategiaa. Pidettiin kehittämispajoja, joissa kerättiin asiantuntijatietoa nuorisokodin työryhmältä. Asiakkaan ääntä kuultiin Touhon haastattelun ja lapsiasiavaltuutetun selvityksen avulla. Kehittämispajat ja haastattelu analysoitiin sekä arvioitiin omalla työryhmällä ja yrityksen johdolla. Laatu tarkistettiin LAPE-hankkeen ”Terapeuttisen laitoskasvatusmallinnuksen” ja sijaishuoltokriteerien avulla. Touhosta tuli Mainingin kuntoutuksen mallitarina narratiivisen analyysin kautta. Kehittämistyön tuloksena voidaan sanoa, että tuleva kuntoutusmalli on näyttöön perustuva. Se huomioi tiedollisesti eri kuntoutuksen tasot ja on asiakaslähtöinen. Se on asiantuntijoiden työtä ohjaava malli. Kehittämistyö on kirkastanut työn tarkoitusta. Tutkimusta laitosnuoren arjesta on edelleen vähän tehtynä. Toivon, että tämä työ ja LAPE-hankkeen mallinnuksen esiin nostaminen innostaa muitakin laitoshuoltotyöntekijöitä arvioimaan työtään ja kuulemaan laitosnuoren äänen tänä markkinaistumisen aikakautena.The purpose of this thesis is to describe development process of evidence based rehabilitation model. Major effort is put to transfer the societal mission in macro level into day-to-day life of institutionalised juvenile. Evidence based means how to utilise research knowledge, knowledge coming from clients and professionals and how to benefit from strategic knowledge. The main goal of development is to give a voice to a juvenile in foster care. In the making process of this report, is to examine who we are as foster care unit and what is the purpose of our profession. The second task is to stand out in the present and future child protection field to highlight the good reputation of the work we do. This is done to point out the quality of the child protection work performed by Ankkuri Child Protection Services Ltd. In theory part there is extensive discussion from all different areas of rehabilitation, from the government key projects to the challenging task of foster care, all the way to the institutionalised juvenile. The intention was to see rehabilitation methods that are empowering and enhancing the self-efficacy, for example social rehabilitation, to minimise the risk to exclude. The strategies of action research were used. There were workshops, where expertise knowledge from the work group of juvenile home was collected. Client’s voice was heard through the interview of Touho and report of ombudsman for children. The workshops and the interview were analysed and evaluated by own work group and the management of the company. The quality was verified with the LAPE-project, which is programme to address child and family services, with the “Therapeutic modelling of institutional parenting” andalso with the criteria for foster care. Touho became the example story of the rehabilitation of Maininki through the narrative analysis. We can say as a result of the development project that the forthcoming rehabilitation model is going to be evidence based. It is taking into account all levels of rehabilitation in the form of research knowledge and it is client oriented. It will guide the work of the professionals. Development work has clarified the meaning of our work. There is still few research of the day-to-day life of institutionalised juvenile. I hope that this thesis and bringing up the modelling of LAPE-project will inspire more professionals in institutionalised care to assess their work and hear the voice of institutionalised juvenile in this era of market-based services
