Abstract

<p>TMW = Technische Mikrobiologie Weihenstephan. OD<sub>590</sub> and pH values determined after 60 days of incubation can be found in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0152747#pone.0152747.s001" target="_blank">S1 Table</a>. Growth in test beers is indicated by + and -. IBU = international bitterness units (measure for hop content). Spoilage-groups: strong beer spoilage potential (SB)—growth in pilsner beer, middle potential (MB)—growth in lager beer, weak potential (WB)—growth in wheat beer, no potential (NB)—no growth in test beers.</p
