Two Westbrook Junior College students and their dates sit on adjacent sofas in a dormitory lounge in this 1950s sepia toned photograph. Three of the four smoke cigarettes. The young women wear dresses, nylons and heels. The young men are in slacks and suit jackets with white socks and casual shoes; one wears a plaid four-in-hand tie, one a plaid bow tie.
