    超音波加振型加圧焼結法によるNi粉末の焼結促進と高強度化

    In this research, focusing on the vibrational energy (acoustic energy) of ultrasonic waves that can be generated with a relatively simple device, hot-press sintering of Ni metal powder under assisting this energy is examined to improve sintering promotion and the strength by an experiment. A pure Ni metal powder is packed in a cylindrical mold, then, heated to a hot-press temperature in inert Ar gas. The hot pressing at 40 MPa under ultrasonic vibration (using ultrasonic transducer with inherent frequency of 20 kHz and 28 kHz) was applied to the metal powder for a predetermined sintering time. The relative density, tensile strength and electrical conductivity of the sintered compact were investigated. As a result, it is able to promote sintering and increase the strength by the aid of the ultrasonic waves.application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

    SiC‐CFRP‐制振金属積層複合材料の作製と機械的特性評価

    This study reports the manufacturing process and the mechanical properties for laminated composites consisting of 3 or 5 layers with ceramic, CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) and damping-metal plates. To compensate the brittleness in ceramics, CFRP and damping-metals were laminated on ceramic plate by both autoclave and hand-painting methods.It was found that the specific 3 point flexural strength and the specific Charpy impact absorption energy increased to reach 0.145MPa/(kg/m³) in case of 3 layers and 25.0(J/m²)/(kg/m³) in case of 5 layers by both autoclave methods, which were 1.58 and 27.6 times higher than those of monolithic SiC, respectively.     In recent years, the urban area has been extensively developed in many regional cities, and the population density has declined. There is a concern that the decline of the region will progress since they can’t maintain living and economic activities. In this study, we focused on residence attraction area of Nagano city. To verify the accessibility to living convenience facilities for resident population distribution, we examined relationship between the accessibility to the urban function facility, distribution of residential areas in the city and activity level for each age group. We classified all subjects into three age groups and compared the results of each.     In order to understand the characteristics of B₄C monopoly, the effects of hot-press (HP) pressure and Ar inert atmospheric pressure on the mechanical / electrical properties of pure B4C powder compact were investigated using the HP method. The sintering temperature was constant at 1950 ° C, and the sintering time was 3.6 ks. When the press pressure was increased, the densification occurred rapidly and the relative density reached 99.3% even at a low HP pressure of about 23.4 MPa. Furthermore, when the press pressure was 31.2 MPa, a relative density of 99.9%, a flexural strength of 502 MPa, and a hardness of 38.5 GPa were obtained. By using the HP method, B4C is able to obtain high properties and a smooth surface (mirror surface) by the HP sintering without adding a sintering aid.application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape

    In order to improve toughness of Al₂O₃ ceramic, CFRP and metal were laminated on Al₂O₃ ceramic plate by the autoclave technique. The metal used in this study included Al, Ti, D2052 (damping alloy: Mn-Cu-Ni-Fe) and SUS304 plates, and perforated SUS304 plates with various hole diameters. The laminated composites were characterized by bulk density measurement, 3-point flexural and Charpy impact tests. As a result of flexural and impact tests, the specific flexural strength of Ti-CFRP-Al₂O₃-CFRP-Ti and the specific Charpy impact strength of Al-CFRP-Al₂O₃-CFRP-Al reached 0.133 MPa/(kg/m³) and 26.3(J/m²) /(kg/m³), which were 1.40 and 22.1 times higher than those of monolithic Al₂O₃, respectively.application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
