Epistemology of Indian Philosophies and Its Contemporary Context
This research paper explores the epistemological foundations of Indian philosophies, examining key concepts, schools of thought, and their relevance in contemporary contexts. It highlights the unique aspects of knowledge acquisition, validation, and application within Indian philosophical traditions, emphasizing their holistic and experiential nature. The paper also discusses the implications of these epistemological frameworks in today\u27s globalized world, particularly in addressing modern challenges. Indian epistemology, marked by its array of philosophical schools, highlights different pramanas (means of knowledge). Central to this exploration is the concept of darśana, which translates to "to see" or "to look at," emphasizing the experiential and interpretative dimensions of knowledge within these traditions. By analyzing key texts and philosophical arguments from systems the paper illuminates the intricate understandings of truth, reality, and cognition that have influenced Indian thought. Additionally, it considers how these ancient epistemological insights can contribute to current debates in philosophy, science, and ethics, effectively linking historical perspectives with contemporary issues. This synthesis aims to highlight the lasting importance of Indian epistemology in promoting a comprehensive understanding of knowledge in today’s multicultural and interdisciplinary landscape
Truth and Reality: An Interdisciplinary-Holistic Framework
This study examines the multidimensional nature of truth by integrating insights from philosophy, quantum mechanics, psychology, linguistics, spirituality, neuroscience, and social theory. Challenging the classical notion of an objective, fixed reality, the research thus explores how observation, consciousness, emotion, and interpersonal dynamics participate in shaping human experience, and approaches each dimension – intellectual, emotional, societal, vibrational, universal – as a lens through which truth manifests and evolves. Drawing on quantum concepts such as superposition, entanglement, and the observer effect, alongside Hermetic philosophy, narrative psychology, and universal grammar, the study then argues that individuals co-create reality through perception, belief, and intention. The paper further investigates how bullying, interpersonal memory, and cultural narratives influence identity and behavior, as a way to illustrate that internalized truths can either empower or distort. Ultimately, this research invites a synergistic redefinition of truth, one that transcends binaries, embraces interconnectedness, and affirms the transformative power of awareness, in the pursuit of open-hearted meaning and collective harmony
Digital Storytelling to Enhance Second Language Learners\u27 Language Proficiency through Text, Audio, Images, and Voice
With the advent of digitalisation, the teaching-learning process has become more enhanced as it makes students involved voluntarily with self-interest. As students, when they involve themselves by themselves with a focus, it leads to Self-Directed Learning (SDL), which plays an important role in improving their language skills. In the process of acquiring language fluency, especially second language learners tend to use various techniques to make them flexible in improving their skills. One of the best ways to make the most excellent out of their learning is through digital storytelling. This paper mainly focuses on the usage of digital storytelling by the second language learners in making their learning more enhanced, which improves their vocabulary, grammar, creative thinking, critical analysis, and interpretation, which in turn improves their coherence and cohesive techniques
The Timeless Virtues of Lord Rama: Essential Qualities for Contemporary Living
This comprehensive review examines the enduring qualities of Lord Rama, the exemplary protagonist of the Hindu epic Ramayana, and their relevance to modern life. Through a systematic analysis of classical texts and contemporary scholarly interpretations, this paper identifies key virtues embodied by Rama—including dharma (righteousness), satya (truth), karuna (compassion), and exemplary leadership—and demonstrates their continued significance in addressing present-day ethical, social, and personal challenges. The findings reveal that Rama\u27s character offers a holistic framework for navigating moral complexity, building meaningful relationships, and fostering societal harmony in an increasingly fragmented world. This paper contributes to the ongoing scholarly conversation about the application of traditional wisdom to contemporary contexts and highlights the universal appeal of values transcending cultural and temporal boundaries
The Endowment and IKEA Effects: Arranging Your Living Space in the Minimalist and the Feng Shui Styles
This study explores how self-involvement in interior design influences perceived value by examining the interaction of the endowment and IKEA effects. Using a two-stage thought experiment, the research simulated hypothetical buying and selling scenarios involving virtual one-bedroom apartments furnished according to two contrasting styles: Feng Shui and minimalism. Fifty imagined participants engaged in furnishing tasks while a second group evaluated pre-arranged spaces, allowing the study to compare valuation patterns under conditions of active participation and passive observation. The hypothetical results suggest that personalization combined with symbolic meaning amplifies attachment, increasing willingness to pay (WTP) and willingness to accept (WTA) beyond baseline estimates. Full engagement in furnishing, particularly when aligned with culturally significant frameworks such as Feng Shui, appeared to generate stronger emotional investment than minimalist arrangements. Differences between WTP and WTA persisted across all phases, thus reflecting valuation asymmetries often attributed to loss aversion. Although purely conceptual, this simulation provides a structured framework that future studies can adapt for empirical testing. Its insights thus hold practical relevance for real estate and design sectors, where participatory strategies could enhance perceived and actual property value. The anticipated findings aim to highlight the role of autonomy, effort, and meaning in shaping consumer behavior, and ultimately illustrate how cognitive biases may function as constructive forces when integrated into design processes
Analyzing the Impact of Money Supply and Economic Growth on Inflation in SAARC Countries (2000-2020)
Inflation is one of the variables that not only concerns economists but also garners attention from policymakers due to its social impacts and consequences. Policymakers and economists closely monitor and analyze its fluctuations. Identifying the causes of inflation is a critical step in combating it; without correctly identifying the underlying causes, efforts to address inflation may be misguided. Furthermore, effective inflation control and managing persistent price increases require a comprehensive understanding of its effects and consequences.
This study examines the impact of money supply and economic growth on the general price level in SAARC countries during the period 2000–2020 using panel data methodology. The research seeks to answer the question: What has been the effect of money supply and economic growth on the general price level in SAARC countries from 2000 to 2020? To address this question, the hypothesis tested posits that money supply and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on price levels.
The findings of the research confirm this hypothesis, indicating that an increase in money supply leads to a rise in the general price level and inflation. Moreover, the velocity of money has a negative and significant effect on inflation, while economic growth does not have a significant impact on the general price level
Study on Consumer Buying Behaviour for Ayurveda Vs Allopathy
This study aims to understand how consumers decide between Ayurveda and Allopathy when choosing medical treatment. The research focuses on what influences people more – natural and traditional healing methods like Ayurveda, or fast scientific healing treatments like Allopathy. The study tries to find out the key factors such as trust, price, brand awareness, and recommendations from family or doctors that shape consumer preferences. Through a survey, I tried to analyze how people think, what they prefer for different types of health problems, and how often they switch between the two systems of medicine. The results help us understand changing consumer trends and what drives their decisions in the healthcare market. The research will be useful for healthcare companies, marketers and others to design better products and services according to consumer expectations
Living With Cultural Heritage: Ethnic Minority Community in The Context of The Cultural Space of The Gongs in The Central Highlands, Vietnam
This article examines the changing values attributed to wooden statue sculptures and to the brocade weaving of the Jrai and Bahnar people. The Jrai and Bahnar are indigenous groups residing in Gia Lai province in Vietnam\u27s Central Highlands. They are unique handicrafts. Their wooden statues are displayed in three central locations: communal houses, stilted houses, and tombs. Brocade weaving is a typical woman\u27s job. Both sculptures and brocade weaving help animate the Cultural Space of the Gongs of indigenous peoples in the Central Highlands, which was recognized by UNESCO in 2005. The boom of the market economy since 1986, along with religious changes and the development of tourism in recent years, has altered the value of wooden statue sculpture and brocade weaving, as well as the cultural values of the Jrai and Bahnar people in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. This research evaluates the policies for preserving and promoting the traditional crafts of the two ethnic groups mentioned above. Living with cultural heritage becomes the policy slogan, but it also shows the difficulties artisans face in preserving their craft. The research also challenges the State and the people to protect traditional cultural values
Talent Management Practices in Aligarh’s Emerging IT Sector: A Quantitative Analysis (2018–2023)
Aligarh, a western Uttar Pradesh city, is evolving from its "Lock City" heritage into an IT hub, driven by Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and the Uttar Pradesh IT and Start-up Policy 2020. This study examines talent management practices in Aligarh’s IT sector (2018–2023), focusing on recruitment, training, retention, and engagement amidst skill shortages and brain drain to hubs like Noida. Using a quantitative approach, 200 respondents from 10 IT firms, including TechBit Solutions, were surveyed via a 40-question, 5-point Likert scale questionnaire based on Collings and Mellahi’s (2019) framework, achieving a 90% response rate (Creswell, 2014). Secondary data from HR records and the Aligarh District Industries Centre validated findings (Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, 2024). By 2023, 20 firms employed 1,500 professionals, a 13.4% CAGR from 800 jobs in 2018, with 70% formal employment but only 20% female workers (Table 3.2.2a). Respondents mostly aged 25–35 with bachelor’s degrees, included software developers (50%) and data analysts (20%) (Table 3.3.2). Survey results showed moderate recruitment satisfaction (mean: 3.2), frequent training (mean: 3.8), moderate engagement (mean: 3.4), and a 10% turnover rate, with training correlating strongly with retention (r = 0.65, p < 0.01) (Table 3.4.2). Only 24% of the workforce is skilled in AI, limiting scalability (Google, 2023). Recommendations include streamlining recruitment with digital platforms, expanding AMU’s AI and cloud computing training, offering competitive retention incentives, and establishing IT parks via public-private partnerships. Policymakers should enhance infrastructure and gender-inclusive policies to boost diversity. Qualitative research could further explore stakeholder perspectives, supporting Aligarh’s sustainable IT growth
The Use of Transitional Devices in the Writing of ESL Learners: A Case of Bolgatanga Girls’ SHS Students’ Essays
This paper investigated the use of transitional devices by students of Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School. The objective set for the research was to identify the kind of transitional devices that appear in the writing of senior high school students. To achieve this objective, the researcher employed a case study approach. The researcher used interviews and observation of students’ scripts for the collection of the data for the research. Essays of students were sampled for the extraction of the transitional devices used by the students. The data that was obtained was analysed based on the themes that emerged from the research question. The findings of the study showed that Bolgatanga Girls’ Senior High School students used transitional devices of different categories in their writing tasks. The findings of the study revealed that the students contextually and semantically used connective devices appropriately, which make their essays to achieve coherence and cohesion. It was shown by the study that even though the students used the connective devices appropriately, they overused some of the transitional devices, while they avoided some. The study also showed that compound connective devices were sometimes misspelled by the students by writing them as separate words. The findings indicated that teachers of English language placed too much emphasis on the external examination; they also employed teacher-centred methods in teaching; they do not adopt process approach to teaching transitional devices to the students and the students also failed to undertake reading task on their own. The study recommended that teachers of English should teach transitional devices as a distinct topic and adopt a learner-centred approach to teaching transitional devices to their students
