EMPOWERING NEURODIVERGENT LEARNERS IN INCLUSIVE CLASSROOMS: A CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE TEACHING (CRT) PERSPECTIVE
The global commitment to inclusive education under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4) aims to accommodate the diverse learning needs of neurodivergent learners comprehensively. Conventional teaching methods often underserved the unique learning requirements of neurodivergent learners, such as those with dyslexia. The study examines the impact of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) as an instructional approach, emphasizing the use of culturally relevant learning materials, differentiated and flexible instruction, visual cues, and social emotional learning (SEL) interventions on the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development of dyslexic learners. Employing a qualitative research design, the study draws on data from classroom observations and semi-structured interviews with teachers and parents to explore how CRT strategies influence learner development. The findings underscore the positive impact of the aforementioned CRT strategies on academic achievements, confidence-building, learner engagement, peer relationships, and socio-emotional growth among dyslexic learners. The implications of the study extend to linking CRT strategies with the broader goals of SDG 4, promoting an equitable and inclusive educational landscape empowering dyslexic learners
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MONTESSORI APPROACH TO INTRODUCE MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
This study aims to examine the importance of introducing multicultural education at an early age. This is based on the phenomenon observed in Indonesia, particularly in Jakarta, where many children are still unaware of the ethnic backgrounds and customs of each child's parents. Children with a multicultural understanding are expected to develop an attitude of tolerance. The Montessori approach, which includes cultural and scientific areas, helps teachers introduce cultural diversity and the uniqueness of various countries' cultures. This aims to instill respect for cultural uniqueness among children. The research methodology employs a qualitative approach, with data collected from teachers through Google Forms, in-depth interviews, and observations during class activity. The subjects of this study are teachers at Aluna Montessori School in South Jakarta. The results indicate that teachers believe multicultural education is important to introduce early but a lack of media and games designed to stimulate multicultural understanding in early childhood. Consequently, teachers create media and games based on their creativity. These findings can serve as a foundation for future research to develop educational games that introduce Indonesian culture in addition to international cultures.

CRUSHED TO DEATH: HEALTH AND SAFETY RIGHTS OF STONE CRUSHERS IN NORTH BENGAL, INDIA
Silicosis, among the stone crushing laborers, is considered one of the most common fatal occupational health hazards. Various forms of crushed stone play an extremely important role in urbanization. However, a lack of awareness and the degraded working environment often deny the basic right to health and safe working conditions for stone crushers, the backbone of development worldwide. Masonry workers develop this incurable and irreparable disease due to constant inhalation of crystalline silica particles, which are commonly found in most natural and engineered stones worldwide. Over 200 migrant stone crushers in the Balason riverbed in North Bengal, India, were interviewed in 3 years to understand their socio-economic background and health impact caused by the stone crushing job. It was observed that there are usually two types of crushing methods involved to produce the required sizes of stone chips as per the industry demand: manual stone crushing and stone crushing using jaw crushers and other industrial machines. Both sites were visited to compare dust emission conditions. In the industrial site, it was hard to breathe, owing to the massive dust emissions. On the other hand, manual stone crushers were facing the typical risks of getting hurt or blinded by the stone chips. Though there are several International and Indian Laws that advocate, promote, and protect workers’ safety, it was commonly seen that the workers were working on this site without wearing any Personal Protective Equipment. This field-based qualitative study tends to analyze and highlight such an important topic, which is not only common among the stone crushers, but also prevalent among the miners, construction workers, brick, tile industry, and sandblasting industry worldwide. The goal of this research is to spread awareness worldwide through this case study and create safe working conditions for the workers
IN THE ERA OF GIG ECONOMY: ARE UBER DRIVERS CONTACTORS OR EMPLOYEES?
The evolving dynamics of the employment relationship highlight inherent power imbalances between employers and employees, often leaving workers vulnerable to exploitation. This paper explores the intersection of technological advancements and workers’ rights, focusing on app-based gig economy platforms like Uber. By classifying drivers as independent contractors, Uber denies them essential employee benefits such as minimum wages, sick leave, and redundancy protections. The paper evaluates the implications of this classification through a comparative analysis of international legal initiatives, including the reclassification of Uber drivers as workers in the UK, legislative measures in U.S. states like California and New York, and a collective bargaining agreement in Denmark. These cases demonstrate varying approaches to safeguarding gig workers’ rights amidst modern technological challenges. The paper further examines the potential applicability of these legal frameworks to Australia, addressing local legislative contexts and the gig economy's impact on fair employment standards. Drawing lessons from global precedents, this research proposes effective strategies to ensure equitable treatment of Uber drivers in Australia
DIVERSITY IN MARKET CHANGE: EXPLORATORY RESEARCH ON THE FLAT-PANEL TV MARKET
The main focus of this study is to clarify the differences in how markets are formed and changed in two markets where overlapping companies operate using same technologies. Drawing on insights from market category research, the following points are noted: (1) Market categories are embedded within broader social classification systems, which vary by society and culture, (2) when market categories are formed, they are shaped in relation to existing market categories, meaning that the characteristics of existing categories influence the creation of new ones. However, there have been few comparative studies of markets in different regions for products that use similar technology. In this study, we compared the market change process in the flat-panel TV markets of Japan and North America through content analysis of press releases published by companies. The comparative analysis revealed that the way in which market categories change differs between the flat-panel TV markets of Japan and North America. In terms of products, both the Japanese and North American markets saw a similar proportion of flat-panel TVs that could be used to access content and applications over the internet. In the North American market, a new category label was used for these flat-panel TVs with new functions, and a new market category was formed. In contrast, no new TV category was formed in the Japanese market. In the Japanese market, these TV was not introduced as a new type of TV, but as a conventional flat-panel TV with new functions added
THE MODEL OF CULTIVATION, INNOVATION, AND MARKETING MODULE DEVELOPMENT: A CASE STUDY ON ‘BAWING’ HERB IN EAST MALAYSIA
The uniqueness of ‘bawing’ coupled with the declining involvement among youth, the contemporary national agenda and the scarcity of module development model related to the agricultural sector have sparked the research idea. This paper is inspired to explicate the development of modules on cultivation, innovation and marketing of an herbal plant that is synonymous with the Sabahan of East Malaysia, namely 'bawing'. The modules were developed based on a questionnaire analysis on KASA (Knowledge-Attitude-Skill-Aspiration) aspects rooted in three learning domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor (CAP) as well as contributing factors pertaining to the challenges of fostering a commercial agricultural culture among the community. The development and combination of the 3-in-1 modules is relevant and significant as 'bawing' possesses countless commercial benefits that are not confined to gastronomic and culinary aspects only. The modules can be utilized in various activities such as Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), Teaching of Trainers (ToT), Research and Development (R&D), Teaching & Learning as well as the production of bawing-based prototypes or products. Based on the combination and improvisation of ADDIE and SMDM models as well as SPSS analysis, a model pertaining to the module development process involving four main phases is designed. The Cultivation, Innovation and Marketing Module Development Model (MCIM) which focuses on 'bawing' herb is suitable for modules development purposes inspired to assess the success of KTP or other similar program particularly those that are affiliated with social transformation aspects as well as cultivation of commercial agricultural culture
