The effect of the application of the exact and approximate methods on values of selected ecological indices

The work presents the results of a study on the biodiversity of agrocenoses using ecological indices. In order to calculate the measures, phytosociological relevés were made and exact methods were applied in winter cereals, spring cereals, tuber crops and stubble fields. The objective of the work was to compare ecological indices (Simpson’s index of dominance C, Simpson’s index of species richness D, and Shannon-Wiener index of biodiversity H’) calculated using the number of plants and their cover determined based on the degree of presence. Moreover, correlation analysis was conducted between the indices computed using the two approaches applied. The results of the study revealed significant differences between all the indices calculated using the exact and approximate methods. In turn, comparisons of the measures computed for individual crops showed significant differences only for potato crops and winter cereals. No significant differences were found between the indicators calculated for spring cereals and stubble fields

Panslawizm - idea żywa czy zapomniana?

The idea and developing of Pan-Slavism movement in XIX–XXI c. was shown in this paper. It has been manifested as political and socio-cultural movement in political conceptions, plans and papers, literature, music and objects of fine art, inspired by folks motives, which glorified the Slavic’s unity and power. The main centers of Pan-Slavism were characterized in Czech, Slovakia, Russia, on the Polish territory and among the southern Slavs – on Balkans and a t the Adriatic seaside. Results of these political conceptions and unfair advantage these ideas to the imperial goals of great states were also analyzedW artykule przedstawiono pojęcie i rozwój panslawizmu jako ruchu politycznego oraz społeczno-kulturalnego w XIX i XXI w. Słowian w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej. Przejawiał się on w koncepcjach i traktatach politycznych, działach literackich, utworach muzycznych, nawiązujących do motywów ludowych i sztukach plastycznych oraz gloryfikujących potęgę jedności Słowian. Scharakteryzowano główne ośrodki i działaczy panslawistycznych w Czechach, Słowacji, Rosji, na ziemiach polskich i wśród Słowian południowych – na Bałkanach i wybrzeżach Adriatyku. Analizowano rezultaty realizacji politycznych koncepcji panslawistycznych oraz wykorzystywanie tej idei do celów imperialnych przez wielkie mocarstw
