    Expanding the therapeutic horizon of 177Lu-DOTATATE: a review of current evidence

    Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are a heterogenous group of neoplasms originating from neuroendocrine cells, most frequently found in the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas. A defining feature of NETs is the overexpression of somatostatin receptors (SSTRs), particularly subtype 2 (SSTR2), which is the primary target for both diagnostic imaging and therapeutic interventions. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) using 177Lu-DOTATATE, a radiolabeled somatostatin analog, has emerged as a transformative alternative for patients with advanced or progressive well-differentiated NETs. Considering that SSTR expression is also present in various other tumors—including pheochromocytomas, paragangliomas, meningiomas, and medullary thyroid carcinomas—there is increasing interest in expanding the use of PRRT to other SSTR-positive malignancies. This review aimed to present evidence, explore ongoing clinical research, and highlight emerging directions for 177Lu-DOTATATE therapy beyond gastroenteropancreatic NETs.departmental bulletin pape

    Takarajima magazine gained many readers in the 1980s as a media outlet for the New Wave culture, an eccentric and individualistic youth culture centered on New Wave which is a form of rock music. During that time, reading Takarajima indicated that one is a young person with a taste for radical and individualistic styles. Although there are several previous studies on Takarajima in the 1980s, there have been no detailed analyses of the magazine's structure and changes during that period. However, it is important to note that depending on the publication period, Takarajima in the 1980s differed in content and editorial policy. Therefore, it seems important to consider these changes. This paper examines Takarajima in the 1980s, dividing it into three periods marked by significant changes in the magazine's overall specifications. The analysis focuses on the magazine's layout, editor's note, and readers' columns to clarify changes over about 10-year period. The study revealed that in the 1980s, Takarajima underwent two major specification changes, namely, the colorization of all pages and the shift to a larger format, and that the magazine changed from a magazine that focused mainly on textual information to one that contained more visual information. In addition, articles became more focused on Japanese rock music and fashion. While these changes brought in new readers, they also gave readers the impression that the magazine had lost its distinctiveness and had become popularized, thus causing dissatisfaction among existing readers. In conclusion, it is clear that Takarajima underwent a gradual, major transformation as a result of the interplay between changes in the magazine and changes in its readership. This process is also closely related to the fact that new wave culture became a major culture during the expansion of the rock scene and the band boom. Therefore we can say that the changes in Takarajima magazine and its readership were a phenomenon related to the changes in new wave culture.departmental bulletin pape

    大学博物館の学生の「保健室」化機能の実現を目指して

    名古屋大学博物館は,学生運営団体「MusaForum」とともに活動を展開するが,その一環で学生の心身の健康支援は必須であるとして,大学博物館の「保健室」的機能の実現に取り組み始めた.九州産業大学の緒方泉特任教授との「博物館浴」の実証実験では,博物館見学が若者のメンタルヘルスに与える効果を調査し,ストレス軽減や気分の改善が確認された.これを受け,館内にセルフ式の血圧・脈拍測定器を設置し,「博物館浴」に関する情報を発信したところ,アンケート結果より,多くの来館者の関心を集めたことが示された.さらに,入館後に「暑い」「眠い」「疲れた」という声が聞かれた来館者が,退館前には「楽しい」「リラックス」というポジティブな感想を述べるようになり,心理的なリフレッシュ効果が具体的に示された.すべての来館者が強い学習意欲を持って博物館を訪れているわけではない.しかし,これらの結果は,博物館が知識や文化を提供する場であるだけでなく,「心の保健室」として,多様な来館者に対して活力や心の支えを提供できる可能性を示唆している.Nagoya University Museum, in collaboration with the student organization MusaForum, has been exploring the concept of a university museum as a “health room” to support students’ mental and physical well-being. As part of this initiative, the museum conducted a “Museum Bathing” study in partnership with Prof. Izumi Ogata of Kyushu Sangyo University. This study examined the impact of museum visits on young people's mental health and found significant benefits, including stress reduction and improved mood. Building on these findings, the museum installed a self-service blood pressure and pulse monitor and began promoting the concept of “Museum Bathing.” Visitor surveys revealed strong interest, with many participants noting a shift in their emotional state. For instance, visitors who initially reported feeling “hot,” “sleepy,” or “tired” frequently described feeling “relaxed” and “enjoyable” by the end of their visit. This suggests that the museum fosters psychological refreshment and serves as a source of comfort. Not all visitors come to the museum with a strong motivation to learn. However, these findings suggest that museums are not only spaces for the dissemination of knowledge and culture but also have the potential to serve as “health rooms for the mind,” offering revitalization and emotional support to a diverse range of visitors.departmental bulletin pape

    20世紀初頭アメリカの大学教員資格論 : NCAアクレディテーション基準に着目して

    本研究は、20世紀初頭アメリカの大学教員資格論について、NCAアクレディテーション基準における「研究だけでなく教育」という理念の基準化とその存続に着目することにより考察した。アメリカでは「研究だけではなく教育」を重視する大学教員養成が行われてきたが、その起源は明らかでなく、またアクレディテーション基準との関連は未検討であった。本研究では、高等教育の量的拡大期にあたる1920年代半ばまでの「基準模索期」および1930年代半ばまでの「再構成期」に分け、基準上の大学教員資格を分析した。「基準模索期」には、学位要件とともに「研究だけではなく教育」という理念が基準化され、ACEによるナショナルな基準が制定された際も維持された。アクレディテーション批判を受けた「再構成期」には、学位要件による質保証の限界が指摘され、より実質的なティーチング能力が重視されるようになった。このように、アクレディテーション基準を巡る大学教員資格論は、研究大学とリベラルアーツカレッジという異なる特性を持つ機関の共存の中で、研究と教育のバランスを模索する契機となり、後の大学教員養成論の重要な基盤となっていたことを指摘した。This study aimed to elucidate the discourse on college teaching qualifications in the early-20th-century United States by examining debates over college teaching qualifications in the accreditation standards of the North Central Association (NCA). Previous studies have identified discussions on preparations for college teaching from the 1930s-40s based on the concept of “teaching as well as research.” However, the concept’s relationship with the early development of accreditation remains unexplored. During the period of higher education expansion, the study analyzed two phases-namely the “standards exploration period” until the mid- 1920s and the “reconstruction period” until the mid-1930s. During the exploration period, the NCA established degree requirements while incorporating the “teaching as well as research” concept, which was maintained after the American Council on Education formulated national uniform standards. During the reconstruction period, amid criticism of accreditation, the limitations of quality assurance through degree requirements were recognized, which led to a greater emphasis on substantive teaching abilities. The study’s findings suggest that debates over faculty qualifications in accreditation standards, developed amid the coexistence of research universities and liberal arts colleges, provided opportunities to seek a balance between research and teaching.     立った状態で出土した素面記念物に関する一考察

    Hasta la fecha, se ha encontrado una cantidad enorme de monumentos lisos en Mesoamérica. Sin embargo, suele haber muchas incógnitas sobre su posible función, y en algunos casos es difícil determinar si se trata de una estela o de un altar. Si los monumentos lisos tienen formas similares, es difícil definir su nombre. Teniendo en cuenta las huellas de su reutilización, también cuesta mucho trabajo determinar su uso. De hecho, hay casos en los que los monumentos pueden identificarse, basándose únicamente en su posición vertical. En este caso, el monumento liso puede considerarse sólo como una estela. Por otra parte, no se puede descartar que se trate de un monumento horizontal en proceso de producción o un altar. Por lo tanto, para ser considerado una “estela lisa”, debe estar en pie. Asimismo, un monumento liso acostado no es necesariamente un altar, considerándose la posibilidad de que una estela haya sido derribada en tiempos antiguos. En este trabajo, discutiremos los monumentos lisos excavados en la zona arqueológica de Chalchuapa, y los monumentos lisos encontrados en otras regiones de Mesoamérica desde la perspectiva de su contexto arqueológico. También se discutirá, cuál fue el papel de una estela lisa en Mesoamérica.departmental bulletin pape
