publisher〈Abstract〉Patients with the disease entity termed acute renal failure with severe loin pain and patchy renal ischemia after anaerobic exercise (ALPE) manifests non-oliguric renal failure, usually accompanied by few urinary abnormalities such as hematuria and proteinuria. This condition, diagnosed by the demonstration of hypouricemia in addition to these features, usually responds well to conservative treatment. However, differentiation from other renal disorders occasionally proves difficult, which can lead to unnecessary steroid administration and renal biopsy. In the patient reported here, acute glomerulonephritis (AGN) was initially suspected based on his course and urinalysis findings, although typical AGN symptoms such as oliguria, edema, and hypertension were absent. After the detection of hypouricemia, renal hypouricemia was added to the clinical picture. URAT1 gene mutation (W258X, homozygote) was demonstrated by gene analysis. The patient's mother was heterozygous for mutation at the same site

〈Articles〉Long-term Estimated Gross Regional Products of Municipalities in Osaka Prefecture

publisher[目次] 1. はじめに 2. 市町村 GRP の推計方法 3. 大阪府経済全体の概況 4. 市町村 GRP の推計結果 5. 分析事例 : 市町村間格差の検証 6. むすび[抄録]地域経済の現状を的確に捉えるためには, 客観的な経済統計の利用が欠かせない. なかでも域内総生産は当該地域の経済活動を包括的に捉えることの出来る経済統計である. しかし大阪府では, 大阪市を除いて府下市町村での域内総生産（市町村 GRP）の推計は行われていない. 本稿では, 他県での推計事例や先行研究を参考に, 独自に大阪府下の市町村 GRP の長期推計を行った. 推計結果から, 大阪府経済の長期低迷の主因は大阪市であること, 大阪市以外では, 府北東部の市は停滞しているが, 府南部の第二次産業比率の高い市町村が大阪経済を下支えしていたことがわかった. また推計結果を活用した分析事例として, タイル尺度により地域間格差を計測した. 大阪府の地域間格差は, 労働生産性でみると, 関西国際空港の開港に伴い急拡大したが, その後は縮小してきていることがわかった.　　　　　　　　　　[Abstract] In order to accurately grasp the current state of the regional economy, we need economic statistics. In particular, gross regional product（GRP）is economic statistics that can capture comprehensive economic activities in the region. However, in Osaka Prefecture, an estimate of gross regional product of the municipality has not been performed except Osaka City. In this paper, I estimate the long-term gross regional products of municipalities in Osaka Prefecture. According to the estimation results, it is found that a long-term downturn in Osaka economy is mainly attributed to economic stagnation of Osaka City. In addition, from the calculation results of the Theil index, regional inequality of Osaka Prefecture has been found smaller in recent years

〈Articles〉Integrating Extensive Reading into an EFL Class in an Economics Major

publisher[Abstract] In many universities worldwide, students are studying in majors other than English but must also take English as a foreign language classes.　In many cases, this creates a dynamic for those students that is very different from the situation that matriculated English language students face when studying the language.　In this paper, I will argue the need for and benefits of integrating extensive reading into a program designed for non-English major students, in particular for those students who are studying in an economics program

Diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

publisher[抄録] 関節リウマチの治療は, 生物学的製剤の登場をきっかけに大きく様変わりした. 関節破壊の進行が従来考えられていたのより比較的早期に急速に進むことが分かったこともあり早期診断, 早期治療が重要視されることとなった結果, 旧来の分類基準では不都合が生じるようになり, アメリカ, 欧州リウマチ学会の共同作業により2010年に新しく分類基準が作成された. その後も新規薬剤の開発が続き, 現在生物学的製剤７剤に加えJAK阻害薬なども登場している. また疾患活動性の抑制と長期予後の改善を目的とした治療アルゴニズムが作成されるとともにより客観的な指標による活動性の評価が行われるようになった
