A Structural Model and Educational Program for Understanding the Seismic Performance with Different Floor Construction Specification of Wooden Houses

In 1995, a big earthquake happened in Hyogo prefecture in Japan, after that accident many study for timber engineering is progressing and many people get the concern for the seismic performance of each houses. In structural design of timber construction, the structural performance of structural walls, floor diagrams and its joints is very important. In my past study, I proposed a wooden house model for understanding the importance of walls in timber engineering easily.In this study I would propose models for understanding the importance of floor construction in wooden houses. With these models, we could see the behavior of wooden houses under swinging like the earthquake and the difference of behavior in model with some specifications of floor construction

The Questions of the Criticism of Adam Smith\u27s Theory

経済学史上,スミス理論ほど基本理論において誤解を受けてきた例はない。その由来は,リカードとマルクスがスミス理論を摂取しつつその放棄・破綻説を唱え,後世の論者がそれらを受容・継承してきたからだ。これによりその破綻説が通説となった。しかしこの説には批判者側の押しつけ,ずれ等もあり,見直しを要する。それには言語上の齟齬を解くことが一番の近道だ。リカードでは投下労働の用語法がスミスと異なる。マルクスでは独訳の労働概念が原語とずれる。日本の学界では地代論の要の2語に不適訳等がある。これらが価値論・地代論の各破綻説を生じさせ,それらが補完し合う悪循環に陥っていた。だが,先の諸言語概念の明晰化によって各破綻説を解消でき,スミス理論体系の存立を立証しうる。また,戦時日本の市民社会論に含蓄された〈生産力価値説〉が日の目を見る。これにより経済学史の書換えだけでなく,晴れてその〈説〉を検討する条件が整う

The Public Sphere and Cultural Infrastructure in Revenge Tragedies

This paper, which focuses on Shakespeare and his contemporaries\u27 revenge tragedies, explores the nature of public sphere inherent in early modern theatre and the mechanism of theatre making its audience the public and examines the cultural infrastructure that framed those tragedies. Here, cultural infrastructure means framework or a system shared by the public for representation and communication, such as a representational system that uses rhetoric, symbols, and conventional scenarios of drama on one hand, and moral and value standards on the other. The first question is in regards to how the system of symbols worked. In theatre, the audience shared knowledge of theatrical components such as rhetoric and images, various forms of representations, and symbols. Revenge tragedies typically contained rhetorical imitations and adapted plots from Senecan plays. Those debts from Seneca were conventionalized and worked as a medium for the public\u27s shared experience.The second question here concerns how the moral problem in the revenge tragedy became the contention of the public sphere. Typical Elizabethan and Jacobean stereotyped representation of destabilized moral and value standards reflected people\u27s anxieties and discontent in the unsettled times prior to 1642. With morally provocative factors, the revenge tragedy functioned as a public sphere, where the public scrutinized their own ethics and values collectively

The Perspective and Range of Work-Life Balance from the Viewpoint of Diverse Types of Couples

従来のワークライフバランス研究の視座としてジェンダー平等、労働環境改善、経営戦略、少子化対策が挙げられるが、いずれも主として法律婚異性愛家族という特定の家族のみを前提として展開されている。しかし、ワークライフバランスは法律婚異性愛家族以外の関係性を形成する人々にとっても課題となっている。そこで、本研究では、レズビアンカップル、ゲイカップル、非法律婚カップルといった多様なカップル関係に焦点を当てる。その上で、ワークライフバランス研究の射程をこれらのカップルに拡張することの意義を論じる。研究の結果、パートナー関係における仕事と生活に対する理解を深める可能性を示した。すなわち、仕事が家庭に与える負の影響を意味するワークファミリーコンフリクト概念に注目し、仕事が家庭に与える負の影響が、法律婚の有無、成員のジェンダーや性的指向によってどのように変化するのかを研究するアプローチを提示した
