    Enhancing Students' Critical Thinking Skills in the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Madrasah

    This research aims to examine how the Merdeka Curriculum can be implemented at Madrasah to improve student's critical thinking skills without sacrificing Islamic religious education, where this research can make a significant contribution to curriculum development at Madrasah and enrich academic literature on education religion and 21st-century skills. This research uses qualitative with case study. Data collection techniques are through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis includes identifying patterns, themes, and nuances from interviews and observations. The research results show that several things can be implemented several things can be implemented in developing an independent curriculum for madrasas. First, develop material that stimulates critical thinking by connecting theory with everyday situations relevant to students. Second, project-based activities involve students actively in the learning process, where they receive information passively and participate actively in knowledge creation. Third, critical thinking in a spiritual context encourages students to accept religious teachings passively and question and understand more profound meanings. Fourth, Self-Reflection and Metacognition can strengthen students' understanding of the material studied

    Gender Negotiation, Religious Identity, and Social Identity among Female Pilgrims (Ebhu Ajjhi) in Rural Madura

    Madurese society gives privileges and high social status to those who have the title of Hajj. However, research on the Hajj in Madura focused more on the perspective of male Hajj (Ajjhi). In fact, the number of female pilgrims in Madura is higher than the number of males. The research aimed to explain the process of forming gender identity, religious identity, and social identity of Hajj from the perspective of female Hajj (Ebhu Ajjhi) in Madura. The research used qualitative methods, with a phenomenological approach. Data was obtained from observations and in-depth interviews with 16 informants in Bangkalan and Sampang, Madura. Data was analyzed using the Denzin model with a theoretical framework of identity construction, social capital, and symbolic capital. It found that the Hajj title influenced changes in Ebhu Ajjhi's physical and non-physical identity. Physical changes include more conservative clothing, meanwhile non-physical changes include increasing socio-economic-cultural access. Hajj title are also a source of social capital and symbolic capital, growing new networks, building trust and respect. However, the privilege of the title of Hajj in Madura is mainly enjoyed by male Hajj. Traditional gender roles shape different perceptions about Hajj title in Madura. Even though he has the title of Hajj, Ebhu Ajjhi's role are limited to the domestic sphere

    Post-Pandemic Digital Transformation in Zakat Management: Insights From Maqasyid Syari'ah in South Kalimantan

    The background of this study highlights significant social changes related to the digitalization of zakat (almsgiving) management, particularly in the context of post-Covid-19 pandemic recovery. The research aimed to examine the digital transformation in zakat management following the pandemic from a maqasyid syari'ah perspective. The study employed an empirical legal research approach, with data collected through interviews. Respondents were academics, muzakki, and staff from zakat management organizations (BAZNAS and LAZNAS) in South Kalimantan Province. The interview data were transcribed and analyzed qualitatively using a coding process facilitated by Atlas.ti software, version 8. The findings found that digitalization of zakat management, classified as an element of hajiyyah, serves as a solution to support the fulfillment of Islamic legal obligations, prevent religious violations, provide ease in human life, and expand access to zakat, particularly during the post-pandemic recovery phase

    POLEMIK UPAH MENGUPAH DALAM PEMASANGAN TENDA PELAMINAN DI KECAMATAN SUNGAI TARAB KABUPATEN TANAH DATAR

    Studi ini mengkaji tentang upah-mengupah dalam praktik pemasangan tenda pelaminan yang ditinjau berdasarkan fiqh muamalah. Permasalahnnya terdapat pada akad, besaran upah dan praktik pembayaran upah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian empiris. Metode penelitian kualitatif yang menggambarkan praktik upah mengupah  pemasangan tenda pelaminan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan upah mengupah pemasangan tenda pelaminan di Kecamatan Sungai Tarab Kabupaten Tanah Datar, belum sesuai dengan upah mengupah dalam fiqh muamalah, karena tidak ada kejelasan dalam akad mengenai masalah upah-mengupah. Pemilik usaha hanya menyuruh pekerja memasang tenda pelaminan dilokasi yang telah ditentukan. Selanjutnya sistem upah yang diterapkan oleh kedua usaha pelaminan menggunakan persentase. Dengan pembagian 70% untuk pemilik usaha dan 30% untuk pekerja dalam satu kali pemasangan tenda. Dalam sistem upah mengupah pada fiqh muamalah boleh menggunakan persentase karena dianggap lebih adil untuk pembagiannya, asal jumlah/besaran upah ditetapkan diawal akad. Walaupun pemilik usaha telah menerapkan sistem pengupahan dengan persentase tetapi pembayaran upah tetap tidak sah karena pemilik usaha tidak menyebutkan diawal akad mengenai jumlah/besaran upah yang akan diberikan kepada pekerja. Keterlambatan pembayaran upah yang dilakukan oleh pemilik usaha Eti Salon & Pelaminan tidak sesuai dengan teori upah dalam fiqh muamalah, dalam fiqh muamalah disuruh untuk segera membayar upah kepada pekerja sebelum kering keringatnya

    Implementation of lesson study based on transcript-based lesson analysis on student learning activity

    The research was conducted to determine the effect of implementing a lesson study based on transcript-based lesson analysis on students' active learning, which was carried out using mixed methods. The population in this study were class VIII students at Al-Falah Islamic Middle School, Jambi City, with a sample of 25 students, namely 12 female students and 13 male students, selected using a non-probability sampling technique. The efforts made in this research were to apply lesson study in three stages, namely, planning, implementation, and reflection. Data collection in this study used observation, video/audio documentation, and observation sheets on student learning activities carried out in 2 lesson study cycles. The results obtained in cycle 1 showed that the teacher dominated the overall learning, but the students were also quite active. Meanwhile, in cycle 2, students dominate more in the learning process, which can be seen from the four indicators of student learning activity, whose activity category is better than in cycle 1.     Factors of difficulties in learning the Arabic language for students

    Different types of difficulties that arise in the learning process result from different factors faced by students and teachers in general, Something similar also happens in learning the Arabic language, so this research aims to find out: 1) the causes of difficulties in learning the Arabic language, 2) students’ efforts to overcome the difficulties in learning the Arabic language. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive methods, where the subjects are students, school objects and other supporting data. Data collection methods were done using observation, interviews and documents using source triangulation. From the results of this research, we conclude that 1) The causes of difficulties in learning the Arabic language include internal and external factors, Internal factors: Difficulties experienced by students are: a) Difficulty in expression, b) Difficulty in understanding: Low interest of students so that the difficulties faced by students include difficulties in understanding educational materials, translating using a dictionary, and combining words into sentences. c) Difficulty in writing. External factors are divided into: First, family factors, which include: a) parents’ interest in children’s learning, b) activities supporting learning the Arabic language. Second: School factors, which include: a) School teaching; The teacher explains the material well and well, but the methods teachers often use are lectures, training and sometimes games. b) School facilities; The facilities in the school are sufficient and complete, but there are some facilities that cannot be used, such as LCD screens and air conditioning. 2) Students' efforts to overcome difficulties are always trying to ask teachers, trying to ask friends, using Internet media, and participating in mandatory Quran learning activities.Keywords: factors, learning difficulties, the Arabic languag

    Kepercayaan Diri Mahasiswa PAI Melaksanakan Praktik Mengajar 2 IAIN Palangka Raya

    Praktik Mengajar 2 merupakan program mata kuliah yang wajib di ikuti oleh mahasiswa PAI meliputi pelatihan dan bimbingan mengajar. Berdampak dari pandemi covid-19 mengharuskan program praktik mengajar 2 dilaksanakan secara daring/online. Pada buku panduan PM2-KKN tahun 2021 mahasiswa di tuntut memenuhi keterampilan dasar mengajar. Adapun keterampilan yang harus di kuasai adalah keterampilan menyampaikan materi dan memberikan evaluasi. Kepercayaan diri menjadi salah satu bagian penting bagi seorang guru saat mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Mengetahui kepercayaan diri mahasiswa PAI melaksanakan praktik mengajar 2 IAIN Palangka Raya, 2) Mengetahui kepercayaan diri mahasiswa PAI menyampaikan materi pada pelaksanaan praktik mengajar 2 IAIN Palangka Raya.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi online, wawancara online dan dokumentasi online. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu 6 orang mahasiswa PAI angkatan 2018 dan 4 orang guru pamong sebagai informan. Teknik pengabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber sebagai bahan perbandingan dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data berupa pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, penarikan kesimpulan dan melakukan verifikasi data.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Kepercayaan diri mahasiswa PAI melaksanakan praktik mengajar 2 ialah a) Pada aspek tingkat kesulitan mahasiswa PAI mampu dalam merencanakan tugas mengajar pada tingkat kesulitan yang beragam dengan baik. b) Pada aspek tingkat kekuatan mahasiswa PAI mampu bertahan pada situasi mengajar yang sulit dengan baik. c) Pada aspek rentang keluasan bidang mahasiswa PAI mampu mampu menyelesaikan target mengajar dengan baik. 2) Kepercayaan diri mahasiswa PAI angkatan 2018 dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran adalah a) Kemampuan penguasaan materi mahasiswa PAI sudah sangat baik. b) mahasiswa PAI angkatan 2018 juga memiliki kepercayaan diri dalam memilih dan menggunakan metode ceramah dalam menyampaikan materi dengan baik. c) Kendala dalam menyampaikan materi PAI yang dialami mahasiswa dapat teratasi dengan baik

    The effectiveness of google sites on the concept mastery of high school students

    This research investigates the effectiveness of using Google Sites in improving high school students' mastery of physics concepts. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which used Google Sites, and the control class, which used conventional methods. Data was collected through concept mastery tests given before and after treatment. The research results showed that the experimental class's average posttest mastery of concepts was higher than in the control class. The independent t-test indicated a significant difference in the pretest-posttest difference between the two classes. The n-gain calculation shows that the experimental class is quite effective, while the control class is in the ineffective category. This research concludes that using Google Sites in physics learning effectively increases students' mastery of concepts. It is recommended that these media be optimized in the learning process by providing tutorials on using them before learning begins and preparing practical tools and materials well. Optimizing Google Sites can support a more effective and efficient learning process and significantly improve student learning outcomes

    This study examines Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises' (UMKM) perceptions of online loans, employing a descriptive qualitative approach. The research draws upon theoretical frameworks surrounding perception and financial behavior to analyze how UMKM players perceive online loans for business development. Findings indicate that while UMKM players perceive online loans as additional capital facilitating business expansion, there exists a gap in their comprehension of associated risks, notably concerning high-interest rates and over-indebtedness. Consequently, the study emphasizes the critical role of financial education in mitigating these risks effectively. By elucidating the theoretical underpinnings guiding the analysis, this research offers valuable insights into UMKM perceptions of online loans and underscores the importance of educational interventions in enhancing their financial literacy and risk management capabilities. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing a nuanced understanding of UMKM attitudes towards online loans and advocating for comprehensive educational strategies to empower UMKM in navigating the complexities of financial decision-making

    Internalization of Character Education Values in Arabic Language Learning at Islamic Boarding School in Indonesia

    Arabic language teachers have significant roles and challenges in internalizing character values through Arabic language learning. Teachers are responsible for teaching vocabulary and grammar and must also be able to convey character education values. This research aims to determine the concrete form of internalizing character education values through the Arabic language learning process at Ulumuddin Islamic Boarding School in Lhokseumawe, Aceh. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research design. The data sources include observations during the Arabic language learning and interviews with teachers and students at Ulumuddin Islamic Boarding School in Lhokseumawe, Aceh. The data analysis follows Miles and Huberman's approach, involving data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion. The research findings indicate that the concrete form of internalizing character education values through Arabic language learning encompasses planning, implementation, and evaluation of the learning process. In practice, teachers use interactive, collaborative, and applicative teaching methods, enabling students to not only master the Arabic language but also develop positive character values. The internalization of character education values through Arabic language learning can contribute to shaping a generation that is not only intellectually smart but also possesses character values, following the requirements of the Aceh Regulation of 2022 to strengthen the implementation of Islamic character education
