The aim of this research is to investigate the role of blockholders on the dividend policy of Indonesian public companies. The analysis was carried out using 2016-2017 financial report from 213 Indonesian public companies. The finding of the study reveal that ownership concentration by blockholders proved to have negative significant influence on the decision the portion of profit distributed on dividends (dividends payout ratio). The moderation model testing result that existence of multiple blockholders is not moderate the relationship of ownership concentration by blockholders and dividend policies. Keywords: blockholders, multiple blockholders, dividend policies

The study of the effects of lime and rice husk ash in peanuts was carried out in winter-spring 2017 inside the dyke at An Phu district, An Giang province, consisted of following experiments: (i) Effects of lime, rice husk ash to Characters in soil. (ii) Effects of lime, rice husk ash on Arsenic and Cadmium uptake of peanuts, (iii) Effects of lime, rice husk ash to Yield and yield components of peanuts. The experiment was carried out with 4 treatments, 4 replications. The results showed that the treatment with lime and rice husk ash combination increased pH and EC in soil; the arsenic and cadminm contents in stems and seeds were lowest (81.0; 27.0 μg/kg and 1.7; 0.18 mg/kg, respectively) and produced the highest average total yield per hectare (7.59 tons) which significantly differed from all other treatments, the lowest yield (4.63 tons) was in the control treatmen

A case study: Institutional Factors Affecting Lecturers’ Research Engagement in A University in Mekong Delta region, Vietnam

    Get PDF
This case study investigated institutional factors affecting university lecturers’ research engagement in a multidisciplinary higher education institution in the Mekong Delta region, Vietnam. The study employed the interpretive qualitative case study approach with the use of three data collection tools (document analysis, surveys, and recorded semi-structured interviews). In this paper, the authors presented the findings of document analysis and the recorded semi-structured interviews. The findings indicated that institutional factors affecting lecturers’ research engagement in this studied university included governmental policies, funding and structure, resources, teaching loads, leadership and research environment. The paper suggested some recommendations to foster the lecturers’ research engagement in this university

An Utilization of Carrot Tuber Juice (Daucus carota L.) to Increase Average Daily Gain in Broiler Chickens: Reinventing Food Security through Chicken Livestock

    Get PDF
The business of raising broilers is one of the biggest contributors to meet people's needs for animal protein. About 70% of production costs are spent by feed. Carrots are one of the potential and multi-use horticultural commodities in livestock as a feed source. In this paper, the first variable that we will adopt is Average Daily Gain (ADG) in broiler chickens. Then the second variable is the juice of carrot tuber (Daucus carota L.). Responding to these problems, the authors propose an idea to find alternative feeds to enlarge ADG in broiler chickens. The procedure of the study is a 100 broiler chickens (since the age of 1 day) during the first week intensively maintained at the brooder cage. In the second week then divided into 5 groups, consisting of 1 control group and 4 treatment groups each replicating 20 chickens by randomization according to treatment. The conversion calculation of the dose of carrot administration is 17.5 ml/head/day

Optimization Of Dana Desa Through Blockchain Technology

    Get PDF
Dana Desa is an allocation of 10% of the APBN given to villages following Law of the Republic of IndonesiaNumber 6 of 2014. It purposes to reduce the number of underdeveloped villages from 26% to 20% in 2019 (RPJMN 2015-2019). However, there are many cases of abuse of Dana Desa. According to Indonesia Corruption Watch from 2015 to 2018, there were 181 cases of corruption of Dana Desa which resulted in state losses of Rp40.6 billion (Kompas, 2018). Besides, there was the deposition of Dana Desa in the regional accounts due to constraints on the report on the realization of Dana Desa (LRA). Therefore, this paper describes the process of implementing blockchain technology in theDana Desa program and the impact on the audit process. Blockchain can simplify the process of using and reporting of Dana Desa through several features. The type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach

Impact Of Pulsed Electric Field Pretreatment On Yield And Quality Of Lipid Extracted From Cephalothorax Of Pacific White Shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) By Ultrasound Assisted Process

    Get PDF
Impacts of pulsed electric field (PEF) pretreatment with different electric field strengths (4, 8, 12 and 16 kVcm-1 ) and pulse numbers (120, 160, 200 and 240) on extraction yield of lipid and cell disintegration index (Zc) of Pacific white shrimp cephalothorax were examined. PEF treated samples were subsequently subjected to lipid extraction using ultrasonic assisted extraction (UAE) process at ultrasonic amplitude of 91.2 microns for 25 min in continuous mode. Samples with PEF pretreatment and subjected to UAE rendered the highest lipid yield (30.34% dry basis). PEF pretreatment resulted in suppression of lipid oxidation as affirmed by the decreases in peroxide value (PV) and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS). Lipid from PEF pretreated samples had higher content of PUFAs as well as carotenoids, which included astaxanthin, astaxanthin monoester, astaxanthin diester, canthaxanthin and β-carotene. Overall, PEF was a promising pretreatment to increase the yield and maintain the quality of lipid extracted from cephalothorax using UAE

High Transportation Cost, complex cross border procedures and poor condition of transport infrastructure are effective trade. Barriers. 2. The issue of trade facilitation, vehicles in China and Thailand cannot be directly connected, affecting the efficiency of logistics and transportation; 3. China and Thailand have different standards of inspection and quarantine for fruit import and export. which affects the export of Phulae Pineapple to the Chinese market. Chinese and Thai governments should strengthen consultations to promote trade facilitation; at the same time, the Chiang Rai should develop the pineapple processing industry and increase agricultural products value

Potential Use of Student’s Travel Pattern for Integrated Transportation System Planning in Yogyakarta

    Get PDF
Yogyakarta is known as an education city because it has many high-rank universities, it leads to the high number of students living in Yogyakarta. The student who lives in Yogyakarta makes a significant contribution to the economy. However, the differences in activities and movement among the students causing high and varied transportation needs, leading to an increase in the number of vehicles that while the road capacity is still stagnant. This phenomenon is unavoidable because there is no effective and reachable mass transportation system. Identifying the pattern of weekly student trips can be used as one of the main considerations for this study. Identification of travel patterns can explain the flow, characteristic, and needed of commuters, so it can be used as a basic but precise reference to create a transportation system that suits their needs with high efficiency and occupancy rate
