Synergy of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Fostering Digital Literacy and Research Culture among Students
Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers’ synergy in religious research must be integrated with science, technology, and social sciences and involve collaboration with other subject teachers to produce higherquality research products. This study aims to reveal the role of Islamic Education teacher synergy through digital technology research in developing a culture of literacy and science integration in madrasah aliyah. Qualitative research with a post-positivistic approach was conducted in January 2023 at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Insan Cendekia Pekalongan, Central Java. Primary data were obtained through indepth interviews with the deputy head of student affairs and IRE teachers as research program supervisors. In contrast, secondary data came from documentation of the research results of the Madrasah Young Research (MYRES) team that won a silver medal at the national competition. The results showed that the synergy of IRE teachers in guiding student research could strengthen the culture of religious literacy, such as the study of Surah Maryam verse 23 with the tahlili interpretation approach, semantics, and physiology, which became the basis for the research product “al-Istisyfa” as a relaxation tool for pregnant women. This product integrates religion, science, technology, and social sciences, thus demonstrating the successful integration of various fields of science in religion and technology-based research
Pengaruh Alkitab terhadap Natal dan Implikasi Realitas Bisnis di Indonesia
Christians believe that Christmas is a season to glorify the birth of Jesus Christ. However, the Christmas celebration is an issue intertwined with business realities. Researchers argue that the influence of the Bible intersects with Christmas. Nevertheless, some people use Christmas as a field to implement businesses that seek huge profits for personal satisfaction, thus creating social problems on the other side. This research aimed to analyze the Bible’s influence at Christmas and its implications for business realities in Indonesia. This research used a qualitative research method based on a literature review from a sociology of religion perspective. Researchers used scientific articles, proceedings, and books related to the research variables. This research showed that the Bible does influence Christmas. However, the Christmas atmosphere has implications for business realities that give rise to the spirit of capitalism. In this case, the social problems that occur are pressure and suffering. In essence, Christians reconstruct and rethink the nature and meaning of Jesus Christ’s birth in the Bible. Researchers provide scientific solutions, namely the actualization of celebrating Christmas humanistically in Indonesia
Ulama Pesantren dan Upaya Penanggulangan Radikalisme di Indonesia
The concepts of jihad, heresy, and Khilafah, as interpreted by transnational radical groups, have contributed to many conflicts in Indonesia. The objective of this article is to provide an in-depth examination of the strategies employed by the eight Rais Aam Syuriah and four General Chairmen of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) in countering radicalism in Indonesia. This article employs a qualitative approach and a literature review methodology. The article presents three findings. Firstly, the process of deradicalization through an intellectual approach is achieved through an understanding of religious knowledge from authoritative Islamic scholars, verified literature, and complex methods of legal extraction. This is employed to produce contextual legal fatwas, which serve as a solution to the textual legal fatwas of radical groups. Secondly, deradicalization through a cultural approach is conducted continuously to harmonize religion and culture through various approaches. The cultural approach represents a solution to the cultural resistance exhibited by radical groups. Thirdly, deradicalization through a constitutional approach is directed at educating for nationalism, Pancasila, the trilogy of brotherhood, and a critical review of the 1945 Constitution and its derivatives. The constitutional approach represents a solution to the radical movement that seeks to alter the fundamental tenets of the four pillars of nationalism in favor of their ideological framework
Metaphysics of Yoga in the Gheranda Samhita Scripture
The background of this research is that, apart from interpreting the verses related to God and yoga practice contextually, it also aims to analyse the metaphysics of yoga in the Gheranda Samhita book so that the knowledge gained by academics and yoga practitioners is more comprehensive. Metaphysics is full of discussions relating to God, the soul, eschatology, and illusory things. Moreover, if you study it using the postulates in a script as a limitation to sharpen the perspective that will be born, one script that can be used as a reference for understanding the dimensions of metaphysics is the Gheranda Samhita. Through descriptive qualitative methods, using hermeneutic theory, this research found the following findings: First, apart from Shiva as an aspect of God's representation as described in the Gheranda Samhita script, there are still other aspects of God that can represent His greatness. Second, it is through soul awareness that humans can achieve perfect awareness in living life. Third, there are no shackles like Maya, the term which is identified with the words illusion or bondage. Fourth, karma: actions in life. Fifth, Ahamkara, is another term for ego, and Sixth, Brahman and its Prakrti activities
Penguatan Moderasi Beragama Mahasiswa melalui Kegiatan Tutorial Keagamaan di Perguruan Tinggi Umum
This study aims to analyze the strengthening of religious moderation of students through religious tutorials at state universities to ward off radicalism. The research method uses a sequential design of mixed method explanation. Quantitative data was collected by random sampling with a sample of 809 people. Qualitative data was conducted by interviews using purposive sampling to a number of related parties, observation records, dan documentation studies. The average score of religious moderation after participating in tutorial activities was higher than the average score of religious moderation of students before participating in religious tutorial activities. This finding is supported by the results of a significant t-test (sig. 0.000). The dimension of religious moderation that experienced the largest increase was national commitment (4.29%), followed by accommodating to local culture (3.60%), non-violence (3.37%), dan tolerance (3.12%). This increase is influenced by the internalization of values dan examples from lecturers, tutors, dan fellow students. However, most students only showed a low increase in moderation due to having had a prior understanding of religion dan the constraints of the absence of tutors during mentoring. This research emphasizes the importance of the role of religious tutorials in shaping students' religious moderation attitudes
