    This research was motivated by the rapid growth of zakat institutions in Indonesia, which required amil (zakat managers) with effective and efficient strategies and competencies in zakat management. The research problem in this study was: How was the Human Resource Development Strategy at National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Riau Province? The objective of this research was to determine the Human Resource Development Strategy at National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Riau Province. This research was conducted at BAZNAS Riau Province. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative. The informants in this study included the Vice Chairman 4, Executive Chairman, Internal Audit Unit, Head of Collection, Distribution, Finance, Human Resources, Administration & General Affairs, Fundraising, and Marketing Communication at BAZNAS Riau Province. Data collection techniques involved interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data preparation, editing, coding, and data presentation. The results of the study showed that BAZNAS Riau Province had a good and optimal strategy for developing its human resources. This was achieved by implementing development strategies through education, training, and career development for its human resources. As a result, the amil became more competent in managing Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) and achieved the institution's vision and mission of improving the community's economic welfare through various programs at BAZNAS Riau Province, supported by the human resource development efforts undertaken

    This research aims to test and analyze the influence of profitability, leverage, liquidity, company size, total asset turnover and sustainability reporting variables on profit growth in construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2022 period. The population in this study was 76 construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2022 period. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique to obtain 20 companies that met the research criteria during the 2020-2022 time period. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Based on the results of the tests that have been carried out, it shows that the profitability variables, company size and total asset turnover significantly influence profit growth. The leverage, liquidity and sustainability reporting variables have no effect on profit growth. Simultaneously, the variables profitability, leverage, liquidity, company size , total asset turnover and sustainability reporting influence profit growth

    Analysis Of Hots-based Indonesian Language Examination Questions In Class X Kansai Vocational School

    The implementation of exam questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is crucial to enhance students' critical and creative thinking abilities; however, its use in Indonesian language learning remains limited. This study aims to analyze the application of HOTS-based questions for grade X students at SMK Kansai Pekanbaru. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews and document studies. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Out of 35 questions analyzed (consisting of 25 multiple-choice questions, 5 essays, and 5 short-answer questions), only 8 questions (23%) fall into the HOTS category, 11 questions (32%) into the medium-level thinking skills (MOTS) category, and 16 questions (45%) into the low-level thinking skills (LOTS) category. The findings reveal that most questions need revision, particularly regarding difficulty level and distinguishing power, to enhance the effectiveness of assessing students' thinking skills. The application of HOTS questions is useful for measuring students' critical and creative thinking abilities in accordance with curriculum requirements and learning objectives. This will help students not only master basic knowledge, but also develop higher skills that are relevant to real life

    This research is driven by the prevelance of illegal gold mining activities (PETI) in Kuantan Tengah Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. PETI is an activity associated with numerous adverse effects on both the environment snd the health of local residents. Despite being aware of these negative consequences, the community exhibits indifference toward the impacts of PETI. This research aims to analyze the perspectives of the community in Kuantan Tengah Sub-District regarding PETI. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing questionnaires as the primary data collection instrument, which were distributed among residents of the sub-district. The findings indicate that the permissive attitude of the local community is primary influenced by economic factors and a lack of perceived obligation or responsibility to participate in efforts to curb PETI in the area

    Empowering 21st Century Skills: The Impact of Independent Curriculum Modules on Elementary Students

    This study was motivated by the problem of students' weak reading literacy and 4C skills in elementary schools. Reading literacy and 4C skills are essential components of 21st-century education that need to be developed through effective learning processes. The research aims to analyze the effect of the Independent Curriculum teaching modules on improving reading literacy and 4C skills among fourthgrade elementary students. A quantitative approach with an experimental design was employed in this study. The sample consisted of 148 fourth-grade students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques included tests to measure reading literacy and observation sheets to assess 4C skills. Instrument validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure the quality of the research tools. Data analysis was performed using Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to test the research hypotheses. The results indicate that the Independent Curriculum teaching modules significantly influence the improvement of students' reading literacy and 4C skills. In conclusion, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum teaching modules enhances students' ability to comprehend texts and develop essential 21st-century skills needed to face future challenges

    Deciphering news sentiment and stock price relationships in Indonesian companies: an AI-based exploration of industry affiliation and news co-occurrence

    The rapid increase of textual data has transformed the way we understand and forecast fnancial market behavior. Investor sentiments, often swayed by news, are pivotal in determining stock prices. Analyzing a dataset of 192.582 Indonesian fnancial news articles published between 2018 and 2023. This study investigates the complex connections between news sentiment and stock market behavior of Indonesian companies. We leverage AI-based sentiment analysis and natural language processing techniques, including identity recognition, network analysis, and correlation assessment, to explore how news sentiment afects stock prices at the levels of individuals, industries, and news co-occurrence clusters. While earlier research has addressed the efect of sentiment on stock prices at both the company and industry levels, there is a signifcant lack of studies focused on media co-occurrence clusters, which is vital for comprehending the collective media portrayal of interconnected frms. Our results show that sentiment-price correlations strengthen hierarchically, with individual companies at 0.26, industry groupings at 0.30, and news co-occurrence clusters at 0.43. This research introduces a unique analytical framework that explores sentiment across various levels, highlighting co-occurrence clusters that refect business relationships beyond traditional industry lines. It demonstrates that companies frequently mentioned together in the news exhibit stronger and more stable sentiment-price correlations, ofering a new analytical perspective for AI-driven investment strategies and underscoring the potential of big data analytics in Indonesia’s capital market

    The Pressure Build-Up (PBU) method is a key technique in evaluating reservoir performance, as it provides critical information such as permeability, skin factor, and reservoir pressure. PBU analysis involves identifying the slope on a log�log graph by determining trendline points. Conventional approaches using software like Microsoft Excel or Saphir are time-consuming, prone to errors, and heavily reliant on manual interpretation. This underscores the need for a more efficient and accurate method to address these challenges. Machine learning offers an alternative with its ability to process data automatically and deliver consistent results without significant manual intervention. In this study, the Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LGBM) algorithm was employed to predict the slope value from PBU tests, making the analysis process faster and more efficient. The research involved building a reservoir simulation model using the Computer Modelling Group (CMG)-IMEX software. From the simulation, 1000 experimental datasets were generated, comprising six well test input parameters: Initial pressure, Production rate, Thickness, Factor Volume Formation, Permeability, and Viscosity, with slope as the output parameter. To simplify the analysis, the dataset was clustered into three groups using the K-Means algorithm, with the visualization showing the first cluster in red, the second in blue, and the third in green. The simulation results using the Light Gradient Boosting Algorithm produced a predictive model with Mean Square Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) values close to zero. With an 80:20 split between training and testing data, the model achieved an R² value of 0.937 for training and 0.784 for testing, with a predicted slope (m) of 148.140

    Analysis of the Sustainability of Integrated Pest Management Technology of Rice Field in The Riau Province

    This research was conducted from February to June 2024 in the rice field farming areas of Riau Province in four selected districts, namely Kampar, Siak, Bengkalis and Rokan Hilir Regencies. The location selection was carried out intentionally based on the placement of the national Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for rice fields in Riau Province. Determination of respondents using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 7 percent of the population of farmer households in each district. Data analysis using the Rapid Appraisal program with the Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) method. The purpose of the study was to determine the index and sustainability status and what attributes are most decisive for the sustainability of the integrated pest management technology dimension of rice fields in Riau Province. The results of the study showed that the index and sustainability status of the technology dimension of Kampar Regency (44.05%), Siak (48.01%), Bengkalis (45.17%) and Rokan Hilir (44.11%). In general, the index and sustainability status of IPM technology dimension in Riau Province (45.34%), meaning it is included in the less sustainable category (<50). The most determining attributes for sustainability are chemical, mechanical, biological control, combination of control, weed control and technical culture. The maximum stress value for all districts is 0.15 with a Correlation result of 0.9

    The Development of Flipbooks Integrated With Malay Culture for English Department Students

    Writing is a complex skill in English subject, because it includes logical, structured ideas and needs proficiency. However, the ability of English Department students to understand how to write a good paragraph is still low. Besides, this study aims to implement the use of flipbooks to enhance the learning outcomes of the Paragraph Writing subject for English Department students. In general, this study aims to design -module use of flipbooks in enhancing their writing skills. The material used is about Malay culture to remind them about their place of origin. ADDIE model was used to enhance quality and effectiveness. The results of this research showed that the implementation of Flipbook teaching materials based on local wisdom is effective and successful in raising learning outcomes. According to the study's findings, each validator considered the e-module to be acceptable in terms of the media and content

    Along with the rapid development of the livestock cultivation sector in Indonesia, the need for animal feed has also increased. So far, most poultry farmers still buy animal feed retail at food stores or retailers, so the profits tend to be small. One effort that can be made to increase farmers' income/profits is usually done by using natural ingredients or organic waste. However, it is necessary to improve the production process in processing animal feed, one effort that can be done is by producing animal feed in the form of pellets with uniform sizes. The aim of this research is to design and build a vertical pellet printing machine with an automatic system. In this research, an Android-based remote control system with Arduino UNO as a microcontroller and with 2 engine rotation variations. With this machine, it is hoped that its operation will be easier so that the manufacturer's work will be more efficient. This design uses a 1.5 HP electric motor with a rotation of 2800 rpm. The results of 3 trials with a fixed shaft rotation of 1050 rpm, this pellet printing machine was able to produce 19.49 kg/hour and the efficiency of the milled pellet making material was 91.3%
