This qualitative research aimed to analyze the impact of applying quality measure standards, specifically ISO 9001:2015, in emerging software companies that have decided to manage their projects through Agile methodologies. While Agile methodologies are well known for their continuous delivery of software, the quality that results from these projects is not always guaranteed. This research aimed to evaluate what benefits in terms of cost, timely delivery of working software, and production have companies who already applied QMS had. Or, if applying the QMS had a negative result, why was this the case? The hypothesis for the research was that those organizations that had applied QMS would have a better outcome than those that had not

    Get PDF
The purpose of this research paper is to explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing stakeholder feedback analysis in urban planning. This study aims to determine whether artificial intelligence can be used to increase stakeholder feedback analysis efficiency in urban planning projects. Additionally, the study will examine whether urban planning professionals are ready to adopt artificial intelligence into their practices. This study uses a structured quantitative research methodology, consisting of an online survey with Likert-scale questions to collect insights. Based on the results of the survey, it appears that Boomers and older Gen X are more open to exploring artificial intelligence options, while younger Gen Z are less inclined to do so. A majority of respondents believe that artificial intelligence improves performance and productivity, while having a neutral attitude toward social pressure and ease of access. This study provides valuable insight into urban planners\u27 attitudes and perceptions regarding the use of artificial intelligence tools for stakeholder feedback analysis, particularly among younger Millennials and older Generation Z individuals. Results of the survey indicate a mixed response which indicates the need for further research into how artificial intelligence capabilities such as machine learning and natural language processing can be used to enhance the urban planning processes

Importance Of Mentoring Programs For Successful Remote Work Project Completion

    Get PDF
Covid-19 has upended the work environment tremendously. Around 50% of employees now work remotely at least some days of the week. And while researchers have studied extensively the impact of remote work on productivity and project performance, the importance of mentoring programs for successful remote work project execution has been neglected. One of the main bottlenecks remote projects face is the need for knowledge sharing which would otherwise occur naturally in the office. A potential solution to solve the bottleneck and encourage the process of knowledge sharing is by establishing formal mentoring programs which can guide remote workers and not only increase their satisfaction, but also improve project success rate. This study developed a theoretical framework for how mentoring programs could affect project success in the remote work setting by using project complexity as the mediator, and developed a linear regression model with interaction term to analyze the impact of mentoring on project success. The study found that mentoring programs have a positive effect on project success in the remote work environment, and that the effect of mentoring on project success increases as project complexity increases. The study is limited, however, by its small sample size and reliance on survey responses which could be biased. Future research is encouraged to analyze the impact mentoring programs have on project success for different industries, for different mentoring policies as well as for different remote work structures
