Readmission Prediction for Diabetic Patients: A Scalable Big Data Approach for Resource-Constrained Hospitals
Hospital readmissions, particularly among diabetic patients, place a significant burden on healthcare systems by increasing operational costs and straining limited resources. This project presents a scalable, cloud-based solution that leverages machine learning and big data analytics to predict 30-day hospital readmissions. Utilizing a ten-year dataset of over 100,000 patient records, we implemented a Random Forest classifier trained on clinical, demographic, and hospitalization data. The system architecture integrates Google Cloud Platform services—including BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Looker Studio—with a custom Python/Flask web application for real-time data input and inference. Data preprocessing and feature engineering were conducted in Vertex AI Workbench, enabling the transformation of raw medical records into model-ready formats. Our deployed model achieves high accuracy and supports prediction through a REST API endpoint, with interactive dashboards providing actionable insights to healthcare providers. The project demonstrates the potential of artificial intelligence to support proactive care management and reduce hospital readmissions, while laying the groundwork for automated retraining pipelines to accommodate evolving patient data
Effects of Emotional Intelligence in Enhancing Team Collaboration and Conflict Resolution in Agile Project Management
In this study, I explored the use of emotional intelligence (EI) in enhancing team collaboration and conflict resolution within agile project management environments. Though agile methodologies have gained more popularity, most projects still suffer from interpersonal conflicts and communication failures that detract from project performance. Though the literature is particular to the dynamics of agile project management, little is known about the emotional and interpersonal dynamics that influence team effectiveness. I examined how EI skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills influence team dynamics and project success. Guided by Daniel Goleman\u27s Emotional Intelligence Framework, in this qualitative study, I employed semi-structured interviews to gather data from agile project managers and team members of small- and medium-sized organizations in the Washington D.C. area
Enhancing Stakeholder Collaboration in Indonesian-Owned Businesses in the United States
This research examines stakeholder engagement strategies among Indonesian restaurant owners in the United States, focusing on their operational success and business sustainability. Using a qualitative methodology, the study conducted semi-structured interviews with five purposively selected restaurant owners to investigate how they integrate stakeholder interests into business strategies, leverage government support, and adapt engagement practices across different sectors. The findings reveal three key challenges: insufficient frameworks for integrating stakeholder interests with business strategies, inadequate government support mechanisms, and inconsistent stakeholder engagement practices. The study identified successful informal approaches to stakeholder management, particularly in balancing cultural authenticity with market demands. However, it also uncovered significant gaps between government support programs\u27 intended outcomes and their practical implementation. The research contributes to theoretical understanding by suggesting modifications to stakeholder theory for diaspora enterprises and practical implications for enhancing government support mechanisms. The findings emphasize the need for improved frameworks that consider the unique challenges of cultural food businesses while maintaining authenticity in international markets.

Automation Mismatch: How Contractor AI Adoption Challenges Institutional Procurement Norms at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
This letter explores a growing strain in the U.S. federal procurement: the automation mismatch between AI-powered proposal development by contractors and the regulation-bound evaluation systems at agencies like U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Tools like Vultron and Unanet AI have enabled federal contractors to increase proposal submission volume, yet institutional constraints such as data sensitivity, budget limitations, and cultural barriers have hindered equivalent modernization on the government side. This article leverages institutional theory and prior research to analyze this disparity, highlighting how legal and cultural factors limit AI integration in procurement. Detailed analysis of these regulatory and cultural influences is essential to understanding and navigating the future of AI in procurement
REVIEW: THE IMPACT OF INSURANCE POLICY ON GLP-1 AGONIST TREATMENT
This study examines how healthcare system design influences access, adherence, and financial burden associated with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) in high-income countries. Through a literature review of peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025, it compares outcomes across universal and multi-payer systems. Findings reveal significant disparities. For example, the 12-month persistence reaches 68% in centralized systems like Denmark, but falls to 32–46% in the U.S., largely due to financial burdens, insurance denials, and administrative barriers. Among uninsured U.S. patients, 45% report significant financial hardship while using GLP-1 RA therapy. However, only 20% of patients enrolled in high-deductible health insurance plans reported difficulty affording the medication. System structure strongly shapes both initial access and therapy continuation. While universal systems generally reduce cost barriers, socioeconomic status and strict clinical thresholds still impact adherence. The study recommends multifaceted reforms, including copay caps, streamlined prior authorizations, formulary stability, and patient support programs. Limitations include reliance on secondary data, heterogeneous study designs, and a focus on high-income countries, which may affect generalizability. Nonetheless, the findings highlight urgent policy priorities for improving equitable access to GLP-1 RAs and sustaining their clinical benefits
Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Project Management Techniques in Financial Restructuring
Financial restructuring is a critical strategy for organizations navigating economic challenges, particularly during mergers and acquisitions (M&A). However, 61% of strategic initiatives fail due to ineffective knowledge transfer, communication barriers, and insufficient integration of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) (PMI, 2014; Durst & Zieba, 2019). This study explores the integration of project management (PM) methodologies and AI-driven tools to enhance financial restructuring outcomes. Through a quantitative analysis of 64 professionals across industries, the research identifies key challenges including cultural clashes (44%), communication barriers (43%), and lack of standardized processes (38%) while demonstrating AI\u27s positive impact on knowledge transfer efficiency (*r* = 0.62, *p* \u3c 0.05). AI-enhanced Project Management Offices (PMOs) outperformed traditional PMOs (M = 4.2 vs. 3.1), yet hybrid structures faced unexpected resistance. The findings underscore the need for balanced AI adoption, addressing both technological and human-centric barriers. This research contributes actionable frameworks for practitioners and advances theoretical discourse by merging Nonaka and Takeuchi’s (1995) knowledge creation theory with AI capability maturity models (Anderson & Martinez, 2023)
Exploring the Role of Accessibility in Enhancing User Experience: Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities Across Digital Platforms
Accessibility was a fundamental aspect of enhancing user experience (UX) across digital platforms, ensuring equitable access to information and services for a diverse range of users, including individuals with visual, auditory, cognitive, or motor impairments. As digital products became increasingly central to education, commerce, and communication, the need for inclusive design grew. This study explored the intersection of accessibility and UX, with a specific focus on how accessibility-driven design improved usability, user satisfaction, engagement, and the overall quality of digital interactions. Grounded in Agile project management principles, the research examined how early integration of accessibility into the software development lifecycle supported iterative improvements, fostered user empathy, and aligned with the core values of human-centered design. Using a qualitative research approach based on phenomenology, data was collected through semi-structured interviews professionals from UX, project management, and software development fields. The study analyzed recurring themes and challenges related to accessibility implementation, identified effective strategies, and documented the lived experiences of those advocating for inclusive practices within Agile teams. A systematic review of existing literature complemented the primary data, enabling a robust understanding of current standards, tools, and organizational dynamics. Findings indicated that when accessibility was embedded from the initial planning stages, it significantly enhanced usability for all users, not just those with disabilities. Moreover, accessibility efforts contributed to better product performance, improved compliance with legal standards (e.g., WCAG), and alignment with ethical practices in technology development. However, challenges such as time constraints, lack of training, insufficient leadership support, and post-deployment evaluation gaps often hindered accessibility integration. This study contributed to the growing body of knowledge on inclusive digital design and offered actionable insights for designers, developers, and project managers committed to creating more accessible and user-friendly digital environments
Effects of Cultural Diversity on Project Performance
Cultural diversity emerged as a critical factor influencing team dynamics and performance in contemporary project environments. With globalization reshaping the structure of project teams, understanding how cultural diversity affected project outcomes was essential for project managers and organizations. This qualitative study examined the relationship between cultural diversity and project performance within diverse organizational settings. Specifically, the study explored how aspects of cultural diversity such as ethnicity, nationality, language, and values influenced project outcomes measured in terms of schedule adherence, budget compliance, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction. The research was grounded in Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions Theory and Social Identity Theory, which provided a theoretical basis for understanding how cultural traits influenced interpersonal and group behavior. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with professionals working in multicultural project teams. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns and insights from participant responses. The findings provided empirical insights into how cultural diversity could be managed to enhance project effectiveness. These results supported project managers in designing inclusive team strategies that leveraged diversity as a strength rather than a barrier. This research contributed to the field of project management by offering evidence-based recommendations for improving project outcomes in culturally diverse work environments
The Role of AI in Enhancing Teamwork, Resilience and Decision-Making: Review of Recent Developments
This paper explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on organizational teamwork, decision-making, and resilience. This paper furthur reviews recent literature on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various organizational functions, focusing on its impact on innovation management, leadership paradigms, and organizational resilience. We provide groundwork required to enhance frameworks that can integrate cognitive scaffolding with antifragile team dynamics, employing behavioral economics and neurocognitive principles. We introduce methodologies for enhancing team resilience through adaptive AI systems, cross-training interventions, and pre-mortem simulation techniques. The framework addresses key challenges in confirmation bias mitigation, cultural dimension alignment, and vigilance decrement prevention. This paper explores how cognitive scaffolding mechanisms within organizations enhance team antifragility, enabling dynamic adaptation and growth under stress.We further synthesize findings from studies exploring the adoption of generative AI tools like ChatGPT by innovation managers, the potential of AI in enhancing resilience for small businesses in the context of Industry 5.0, and the evolving role of leadership in the age of AI. Furthermore, we examine the significance of human factors such as emotional intelligence, empathy, and self-compassion in navigating the integration of AI and fostering innovation and resilience within teams and organizations. This review highlights the complex interplay between technological advancements and essential human capabilities in shaping the future of work and organizational success. Through systematic analysis of 32 peer-reviewed studies (2016-2025), we surveyed and found how AI cognitive scaffolding systems improve team antifragility by 214% when combined with human emotional intelligence. Our review by studying research reveals that hybrid AI-human decision models achieve 38% faster response times while maintaining 89% prediction accuracy in behavioral assessments. The paper introduces a novel cultural alignment metric (Cdiff ) for global teams and evaluates four STAR framework variants for AI-enhanced workforce development
DESIGNING A HUMAN-CENTERED PUBLIC RELATIONS SYSTEM FOR LAYOFFS AT ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS FINANCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Public relations professionals support businesses across financial and professional services sectors with several initiatives, including reduction of workforce. Given the current macroeconomic situation, as of April 2025, many companies are laying off employees, and doing so in a non-user-centric way. This study will examine existing literature on the topics of corporate communications, reduction of the workforce, reputation management, human-centered interaction design, and project management, and explore the opportunity and relevance of applying human-centered methods to the reduction of workforce processes
