Gender representation in the visual illustrations of Indonesian high school English textbooks
This study investigates the representation of gender in visual illustrations of junior high school English textbooks (English in Focus) in Indonesia. It is to see how gender is depicted and how the portrayal of gender differs among the grades. The result shows that the females and males are depicted in terms of their occupations, activity types, stereotyped roles and stereotyped characteristics. The findings of this study also revealed that females and males are portrayed differently among the grades. In this case, the Grade 7 book depicts more pictures compared to the Grades8 and 9 books in terms of the occupations, activity types and stereotyped gender roles, while females' and males' characteristics are represented in more equal ways among the grades
PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK DAN PEMBELAJARAN IPS PADA JENJANG SMP
Academic procrastination is a psychological phenomenon that frequently occurs in educational settings, including Social Studies learning at the junior high school level. This study aims to analyze the relationship between academic procrastination and Social Studies learning, as well as the factors influencing students' tendency to delay academic tasks. The research employs a literature review method with a thematic synthesis approach, examining previous studies on academic procrastination, Social Studies education, and effective learning strategies. The findings indicate that internal factors such as low motivation, poor self-regulation skills, and academic anxiety significantly contribute to procrastination. Additionally, external factors such as non-interactive teaching methods, lack of environmental support, and mismatches between learning strategies and students' learning styles also exacerbate procrastination levels. The implications of this study highlight the need for more innovative and interactive learning strategies, such as discussion-based approaches, case studies, problem-based projects, and the integration of technology to enhance student engagement and reduce procrastination tendencies.Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan fenomena psikologis yang sering terjadi di lingkungan pendidikan, termasuk pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara prokrastinasi akademik dengan pembelajaran IPS, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kecenderungan siswa dalam menunda tugas-tugas akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur dengan pendekatan sintesis tematik, dengan mengkaji penelitian-penelitian terdahulu mengenai prokrastinasi akademik, pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, dan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal seperti motivasi yang rendah, kemampuan pengaturan diri yang buruk, dan kecemasan akademik berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap penundaan. Selain itu, faktor eksternal seperti metode pengajaran yang tidak interaktif, kurangnya dukungan lingkungan, dan ketidaksesuaian antara strategi pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar siswa juga memperburuk tingkat penundaan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menyoroti perlunya strategi pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan interaktif, seperti pendekatan berbasis diskusi, studi kasus, proyek berbasis masalah, dan integrasi teknologi untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan mengurangi kecenderungan menunda-nunda.
Literasi Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja Sekolah Dasar di Daerah Semi Pedesaan Kota Kupang, NTT
SD GMIT Naioni yang terletak di daerah semi-pedesaan Kota Kupang teridentifikasi memiliki literasi kesehatan reproduksi yang kurang memadai dan siswanya berpotensi mengalami berbagai permasalahan kesehatan reproduksi di masa yang akan datang. Kegiatan pengabdian literasi kesehatan reproduksi ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa laki-laki dan perempuan kelas III-VI mengenai kesehatan reproduksi sehingga dapat mempersiapkan siswa dalam menghadapi masa pubertasnya. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan peran guru dalam memberikan edukasi yang berkelanjutan mengenai kesehatan reproduksi di sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian meliputi pemberian empat kali pertemuan pemberian literasi kepada siswa kelas III-VI SD GMIT Naioni yang berjumlah 143 siswa yang terdiri dari 89 laki-laki dan 54 perempuan. Setiap pertemuan memiliki topik literasi yang berbeda yang meliputi mengenal tubuhku, masa pubertas, nutrisi bagi remaja, dan hubungan yang saling menghormati. Pemberian literasi menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan tanya jawab yang disertai aktivitas ice breaking dan permainan. Media pembelajaran menggunakan buku saku kesehatan reproduksi, poster dan alat peraga organ reproduksi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 24,30% pada siswa laki-laki dan perempuan kelas III-VI SD GMIT Naioni. Para guru juga menyatakan kesediaan untuk memberikan edukasi kesehatan reproduksi secara berkala kepada para siswa dengan menggunakan media promosi kesehatan yang diterima dari kegiatan pengabdian berupa media poster siklus menstruasi, buku promosi kesehatan reproduksi, dan alat peraga organ reproduksi laki-laki dan perempuan. Pihak sekolah diharapkan secara konsisten dapat melanjutkan pemberian literasi kesehatan reproduksi dan memantau penerapan perilaku kesehatan reproduksi tersebut di sekolah
OPTIMALISASI KINERJA TEKNIS PENGELOLAAN DAERAH IRIGASI SALURAN INDUK MADIUN KABUPATEN MADIUN
Ulo Secondary Canal which has an irrigation area of 1,352 ha is one of the secondary canals in the Madiun Main Canal. Ulo Secondary Canal is supplied by three dams namely Semawur Dam, Jati Dam and Gondrok Dam which are located in Madiun Regency. The Madiun Main Canal Irrigation Area has been rehabilitated in 2019, and has been completed in 2022. The Madiun Main Irrigation Channel area is still in need of water. The methods used to calculate water requirements are Climatology Method, FJ. Mock Method, and Water Balance Method. From the calculation, it is known that the condition before rehabilitation, the value of water availability cannot fulfill agricultural water needs in the Ulo Secondary Canal area. In conditions before rehabilitation, the supply from Jati Dam is 18% with a value between 0.43 m3/s - 0.72 m3/s, coupled with water withdrawal at the Semawur Dam intake of 0.06 m3/s and water withdrawal at the Gondrok Dam intake of 0.07 m3/s. The existing water availability can only fulfill the needs of the cropping pattern of paddy (20%) - crops (40%) - crops (45%), with the smallest residual discharge value of 0.09 m3/s in April III. After rehabilitation, the supply value of Jati Dam is 15% with a value between 2.17 m3/s - 2.72 m3/s, with water withdrawal at the Semawur Dam intake of 0.06 m3/s and water withdrawal at the Gondrok Dam intake of 0.07 m3/s.The percentage value after rehabilitation is smaller than before rehabilitation but the value of water supply is bigger. Based on these conditions, several alternative cropping patterns are planned, such as Paddy (100%) - Crops (100%) - Crops (100%), Paddy (100%) - Paddy (100%) - Crops (100%) and Paddy (100%) - Paddy (100%) - Paddy (100%) with a profit amounting to IDR 6,415,515,780.00 in conditions before rehabilitation and after rehabilitation, on alternative III with a cropping pattern of paddy (100%) - paddy (100%) - paddy (100%) obtained the highest profit amounting to IDR 62,144,490,720.00
Is online reading as effective and meaningful as offline reading?
This paper aims to examine whether an online reading class is as effective and meaningful as an offline one. Participants were 46 first-year students taking an English for Psychology subject. Quantitative data collection and analyses were employed. The quantitative data were derived from the analysis of their pre-test and post-test results, as well as open-ended questionnaires. Online reading class provides students with extensive opportunities and a distraction from learning. It also requires computer access, an internet connection, and good electronic literacy. Offline reading class, in comparison, requires students to focus merely on the ongoing classroom activity and offer direct face-to-face interaction with peers and the teacher. The results of the pre-test and post-test indicate an increase score of 1.3 % for students joining the online reading class and 18.7 % for students joining the offline reading class. It means that both offline and online reading classes offer similar opportunities to succeed
Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita ditinjau dari Gaya Kognitif
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mendeskripsikan bagaimana kamampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita ditinjau dari gaya kognitif. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada siswa kelas X di SMA Muhammadiyyah Tawangharjo yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Subyek yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini yaitu 4 siswa, yang terdiri dari 2 siswa yang bergaya kognitif reflektif dan 2 siswa yang bergaya kognitif impulsif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu MFFT, tes kemampuan penalaran, wawancara serta dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi.. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu data reduction, Data Display,dan Verivication. Indikator yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengajukan dugaan, melakukan manipulasi matematika, menyusun bukti, memberikan alasan atau bukti terhadap beberapa soal, memeriksa kesahihan dari pernyataan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif mampu menguasai empat indikator penalaran sedangkan siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif hanya mampu menguasai dua indikator penalaran yaitu melakukan manipulasi matematika dan memeriksa keshahihan dari pertanyaan.                                                                                                                                              Â
Anxiety in drug-related criminal prisoners in the mechanics of life
Anxiety is a feeling that arises when someone experiences feelings of worry or fear in certain situations. Anxiety not only attacks ordinary people or society but can also attack prisoners. The aim of this research is to determine the factors that cause Anxiety in drug criminal inmates in class IIB prisons in Tegal City. The respondent in this study was 1 prisoner who experienced anxiety, and the informants in this study were 1 friend of the respondent and 1 prison employee. Data collection techniques use direct interviews (face to face), documentation and observation. The research results state that there are three factors that cause prisoners to experience anxiety, namely the prison term, future factors and prison environmental factors. The suggestions of this research are for class IIB prisons in Tegal City to pay more attention to the mental health conditions of prisoners in order to prevent prisoners experiencing anxiety, by providing guidance such as developing personal potential, religious guidance and other activities that can grow self-potential in prisoners. It is hoped that future researchers can develop it further with more variables to achieve better research results
SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW : STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN GURU DALAM MENANGANI SISWA SLOW LEARNER
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan merangkum berbagai strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru dalam mendampingi siswa slow learner di sekolah dasar inklusif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder dari artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan dalam rentang tahun 2021 hingga 2025. Artikel diperoleh melalui Google Scholar, SINTA, dan GARUDA. Dari 105 artikel yang ditemukan, 20 artikel yang relevan dianalisis secara mendalam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran efektif bagi siswa slow learner meliputi pendekatan individual, pembelajaran remedial, penggunaan media visual dan konkret, pengulangan materi, serta penyampaian materi secara bertahap dan sederhana. Model pembelajaran seperti cooperative learning, multiple intelligence, serta teknik mnemonic dan metode kreatif seperti Ligapo dan Reading Guide terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman, daya ingat, dan motivasi belajar siswa. Selain itu, dukungan guru pendamping, pengelolaan kelas yang adaptif, serta keterlibatan orang tua dan kolaborasi dengan konselor berperan penting dalam menciptakan proses belajar yang inklusif dan efektif. Kajian ini memberikan rekomendasi penting bagi pendidik dan pemangku kebijakan dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang ramah dan adaptif bagi siswa slow learner
Legal Protection for Consumers Against the Presence of Hazardous Chemical Substance Sodium Dehydroacetate in Food Products
This research aims to examine the legal protection and liability provided to consumers against the presence of hazardous chemical substances in food products. This study employs a normative legal research method with a prescriptive approach to formulate recommendations for addressing the identified legal issues. It utilizes both statutory and conceptual approaches. The research findings indicate that legal protection consists of two types: preventive and repressive. Preventive legal protection is carried out by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) as a government institution responsible for food safety supervision. Meanwhile, repressive legal protection grants consumers the right to file claims when they suffer losses, either through litigation or non-litigation mechanisms. RESPONSIBILITY AND LEGAL PROTECTION OF NOTARY AGAINST PARTIJ ACTE
Notaries are responsible for complying with laws and regulations in terms of carrying out their official duties, therefore based on the great responsibility of notaries, especially in making partij acte which is directly related to the interests of the faces, notaries need to get legal protection. The purpose of this research is to find out the legal responsibility for notaries in making partij acte and to find out the legal protection for notaries in making partij acte. This research uses normative legal research methods. The results show that there are 3 (three) forms of legal responsibility for notaries in making partij acte, namely administrative responsibility, civil responsibility and criminal responsibility. Legal protection for Notaries is institutionally provided by the Notary Honor Council and by law Notaries receive legal protection through the obligations / rights of Notaries
