The motion was seconded by Mr. Nellams and approved unanimously. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-53 Mr. Nellams moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby confirms review and approval of non-substantive revisions to the University Strategic Plan as recommended by the Provost this day November 3, 2017, which was seconded by Mr. Liu. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-52 Mr. Nellams moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University endorses the recommendation of the Faculty Senate and approves the changes to Faculty Code. Liu seconded the motion. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-51 Mr. Nellams moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the Tomlinson Stadium Upgrade project described during the November 2, 2017 work session of the board of trustees, which will be funded by $4 million from the CWU Foundation. Mr. Liu seconded the motion. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-50 Ms. Black moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the use of $4 million in Recreation Fee reserves for the design and construction of the Recreation Expansion Project. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-49 Mr. Liu moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby delegates authority to the Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs, or his designee, to secure a design-build contractor and related revenue bond financing. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-48 Mr. Nellams moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University approves the consent action items submitted November 3, 2017, which was seconded by Mr. Liu. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-47 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves Resolution 17-06, which reiterates CWU’s commitment to Aviation. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. The board approved the resolution and motion unanimously. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-46 Mr. Liu moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University approve minutes of the Annual Planning Retreat of July 20-21, 2017 and the special telephonic meeting of September 27, 2017. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-45 A motion that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the agenda of the meetings of November 2 and 3, 2017 was presented by Mr. Liu and seconded by Mr. Nellams. The motion was approved. November 3, 2017 Motion 17-44 Mr. Erickson made a motion to amend the agenda of November 2, 2017 to include one additional action items. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. Motion approved. September 27, 2017 Motion 17-43 Mr. Nellams moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the proposed collective bargaining agreement between Central Washington University and the United Faculty of Central Washington University, which was seconded by Mr. Johnson. Motion carried. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-42 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington hereby adopts the 2017-2018 meeting structure and schedule as proposed, which was seconded by Mr. Dixon. Motion approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-41 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves extending President Gaudino’s contract for three years to July 31, 2024. Mr. Dixon seconded the motion. Motion unanimously approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-40 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University endorses the recommendation of the Faculty Senate and approves the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Education which was seconded by Mr. Liu. Motion approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-39 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University endorses the recommendation of the Faculty Senate and approves the Science: Middle Level Education, Bachelor of Arts, which was seconded by Mr. Nellams. Motion approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-38 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University endorses the recommendation of the Faculty Senate and approves the Chemistry Major, Bachelor of Arts, which was seconded by Mr. Nellams. Motion approved. Motion approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-34 Mr. Johnson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2018 as presented. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. Motion approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-33 Mr. Liu moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University directs staff to develop research and documents required to 1.) fund, site, design, and construct a 400-bed residence hall, and, 2.) to relocate track facilities and renovate Tomlinson Stadium. Dan Dixon seconded the motion. Motion approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-32 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University declares continued development of RCM and ABB systems to be among the university’s highest priorities, directs continued progress on the update to general education curriculum and articulation of the baccalaureate experience, and requests reports on these initiatives at each meeting of the board in order to support and promote their successful and timely completion. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-31 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University approve minutes of the regular meetings of May 18 and 19, 2017 and the special telephonic meetings of June 15 and 30, 2017. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. Motion approved. July 21, 2017 Motion 17-30 Mr. Erickson made a motion to amend the agenda of July 21, 2017 to include two additional action items. July 20, 2017 Motion 17-29 A motion that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the agenda of the meetings of July 20-21, 2017 was presented by Mr. Liu and seconded by Mr. Dixon. June 30, 2017 Motion 17-28 Mr. Dixon moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the detailed project plan for the immediate implementation and delivery of a CWU Flight Training Program, which was seconded by Ms. Black. Linda Schactler conducted roll call on the proposed motion. Motion approved unanimously. June 15, 2017 Motion 17-27 Mr. Erickson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University endorses continuation of the university’s aviation degree programs and development of the university’s own flight training programs, subject to approval of a detailed project plan to be submitted to the board no later than June 23, 2017, and authorizes the administration in the meantime to proceed with such arrangements as may be necessary to ensure uninterrupted flight training for its aviation students, which was seconded by Ms. Black. Linda Schactler conducted roll call on the proposed motion. Motion approved. May 19, 2017 Motion 17-26 Mr. Johnson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the Services and Activities supplemental allocations request totaling $184,584.84 to support the equipment needs for the Marching Band and Pep Bands. Mr. Black seconded the motion. Motion approved. May 19, 2017 Motion 17-25 Mr. Johnson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the Services and Activities Fee base funding budget of $7,092,027 per year for fiscal years 2018 through 2021. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. Motion approved. May 19, 2017 Motion 17-24 Mr. Johnson moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the changes to CWUP 2-10-045 Debt Issuance and Repayment Policy and the new CWUP 2-10-105 Reserve Policy.
