Estas transformaciones suceden porque los usuarios de la vivienda social buscan flexibilidad. Es fundamental incluir variables en el diseño de vivienda social que admitan posteriores transformaciones de manera sencilla y racional, garantizando la calidad y el confort ambiental. La vivienda social es un proceso y no un producto, en esta la flexibilidad es una condición necesaria para el diseño y producción de su hábitat. Por tanto, es pertinente preguntarse: ¿cuáles serían los prototipos que resolverían la necesidad de flexibilidad para la vivienda social? Esta investigación se orientó en el desarrollo de nuevas líneas de exploración.
