Person-centred care and HIV: challenges and solutions

Abstract

Person-centred consultations (PCCs) are fundamental to effective healthcare communication, and its use is embedded within key clinical guidance. There are three aspects to PCC: use of the best available research evidence, clinical expertise of the clinician and the patient's circumstances, goals, values and wishes.
