The approach and type of research used in this study is quantitative research, which is an analysis technique whose analysis is carried out using numbers and analysis using statistics. From the analysis of the data obtained the average pretest results in the experimental group amounted to 52.31 and the average value of the pretest control group obtained 53.50. While the average results of the post test in the experimental group that is equal to 83.125 and in the control class of 68. From these data it can be concluded the average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental group in which the learning process is applied to the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model has a difference of 30.185 from the control group in the learning process carried out by the lecture method which only gained an increase of 14.5. The results of the research, analysis and discussion of research data, the following conclusions related to the research that there are differences in student learning outcomes using the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model with the lecture method in Transportation Engineering Students of the Building Engineering Education Study Program FKIP University of Palangka Raya Academic Year 2017/2018. This difference can be seen from the learning outcomes in the experimental group that is based on the calculation results obtained an average value of 83.125. While learning outcomes in the control group by using the lecture method, which is based on the calculation results obtained an average value of 68

THE INFLUENCE OF MIXER FAN INSTALLMENT ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD ON THE FUEL CONSUMPTION OF 4-CYLINDER GASOLINE ENGINE

    Get PDF
The increasing population of vehicles had a direct impact of more and more fuel consumptions. This resulted in the emerges of two serious threats which is firstly economic factor related to the supply of oil fuel that is decreasing and second threat is the environment factor which is pollution from oil fuel burning directly or indirectly in the form of dangerous gas such as CO2, NOx, dan UHC (UnburnHydro Carbon), and also indirect pollution in the form of global warming potential as the result of the explosion of CO2 concentration in the atmosphere. In relation with that, it deemed important to conduct a research by adding a fan in the intake manifold. Fan is a device that can give an effect of turbulent flow in a cylinder hence it can perfect the fuel burning. By this the consumption will be less and less dangerous pollution. This is atrue experimental research. To get to know the fuel spesific consumption and exhausted gas emission (CO, O2, CO2) in the 4-stroke gasoline engine using mixer on the end of intake manifold. The objective of this researchis to know the influence of the mixer installment on the end of intake manifold on the fuel consumptions of 4-cylinder gasoline engine. The result of the research shows that with the installment of mixerin the intake manifold of 4-cylinder gasoline engine has caused the engine to consume less fuelbecause the fan had increased the fuel burning optimisation since the mixture of fuel-air was more homogenous

In general, concrete fillers are made from materials that are easily obtained, easily processed, and have the durability and strength that is very much needed in particular construction of coarse and fine aggregates, each region would have different aggregates as the main ingredients in making concrete. The research conducted aims to determine how the optimum compressive strength value of the concrete produced from the addition of Kapuas Sand to the concrete mixture. In this research, Kapuas Sand is used as a fine aggregate enhancer. The percentage variation of Kapuas red sand used in this study varies, namely 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Concrete mixture planning using SNI 03-2834-2000. The test uses cylindrical specimens with a height of 30 cm, a diameter of 15 cm with a total sample of 10 cylinders for each addition of Kapuas Sand so that the total specimens are 50 cylinders. Testing is carried out at the age of 14 and 28 days in the Laboratory of Building Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Palangka Raya. The results of the compressive strength of concrete using a mixture of Kapuas Sand at 28 days 0% 25%, 50%, 75% and, 100% respectively were 24.71 MPa, 21.79 MPa, 25.36 MPa, 23 .3 MPa, and .22.62 MPa. This result shows the compressive strength value of concrete in the concrete mix with a percentage of 50% that is equal to 25.36 MPa while the compressive strength of normal concrete is 24.71 MPa so that the compressive strength of concrete is 2.66% of normal concrete compressive strength with age concrete compressive strength 28 days

In planning the design of a house that will be inhabited, of course the facilities needed to support the preservation of nature and the environment. The use of youth containers or containers is increasingly being used. For practical reasons and because of other advantages. In addition, the use of containers is believed to be one of the innovative building materials for the future. The use of containers also plays a big role in environmental sustainability, because they can help reduce used containers or in other words semi-used containers that are often left abandoned. The study process used in the general design of the use of containers as an alternative to housing is carried out through research methods that are qualitative-correlative analysis, which is a value contained in something/an object. The research location is located on street Bandara I (Jalan Adonis Samad) with coordinates 2º15'33.3”S 113º56'54.3”E and is 30 minutes from the city center. Coupled with the application of the Modern Futuristic Architecture Theme, for container materials which, if they can be processed properly in the interior decoration, the design is deemed to be able to answer the needs of the lower middle class who need an economical dwelling but still has a good architectural form to be enjoyed in long time

Fish farming is a promising business alternative, especially in rural areas such as Petuk Liti Village. With the potential of existing natural resources, good management is needed so that cultivation results can be optimal (Iskandar & Muslih, 2022). One important aspect of fish farming is controlling water quality, especially water level, which affects fish health and growth (Rahmadani, 2021).However, the challenge faced by fish farmers is the difficulty of monitoring water levels in real-time, so that decisions are often made that are not appropriate, which can be detrimental to cultivation results. Therefore, this PKM activity aims to develop a water level monitoring station based on remote camera technology (GSM) which is implemented in Petuk Liti Village, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan. The monitoring station designed in this research consists of several main components, including a monitoring camera, a water level sensor, and a GSM module which functions to transmit data. The output target of this service is expected to make a significant contribution in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of fish farming in Petuk Liti Village. With a monitoring station, farmers will be quicker and more accurate in taking the necessary actions, so that cultivation results can be optimal

Agriculture is the economic backbone and source of life for many communities in Indonesia, including the City of Palangkaraya. The Sumber Makmur Farmers Group is a clear example of an agricultural community that strives to increase crop production and manage organic waste sustainably. However, they often face obstacles in producing quality compost due to external weather influences. Through this community service, we can also increase awareness of the importance of sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The Sumber Makmur Farmers Group can be an example for other communities in implementing simple but effective technology to increase agricultural productivity in a sustainable manner. Thus, the activity of making a protective roof for portable compost fertilizer systems is not only a technical contribution to local agriculture, but is also a real effort to advance community welfare and maintain environmental sustainability in Palangka Raya City.&nbsp
