Convergence of the barycentre of measures from Fuchsian action groups

We prove the pointwise ergodic convergence of the sequence of barycentres of empirical measures which are defined from the action of Fuchsian groups and by maps valuated in CAT(0)−spaces. A result of this nature was established by Austin from actions of amenable groups and defining the empirical measures from Følner sequences. Here we de- fine different sequences of barycentres, in particular we do not consider a topological structure on the group and Følner sequences.Fil: Meson, Alejandro Mario. Information compression in the context model

    Get PDF
The Context Model provides a formal framework for the representation, interpretation, and analysis of vague and uncertain data. The clear semantics of the underlying concepts make it feasible to compare well-known approaches to the modeling of imperfect knowledge like that given in Bayes Theory, Shafer's Evidence Theory, the Transferable Belief Model, and Possibility Theory. In this paper we present the basic ideas of the Context Model and show its applicability as an alternative foundation of Possibility Theory and the epistemic view of fuzzy sets
